Hiobs Antwort: Wohlergehen der Gottlosen – Gottes Willkür im Austeilen von Glück und Unglück – Kein Gericht über die Gottlosen

1 Und Hiob antwortete und sagte: (Hi 3,2) 2 Höret, hört meine Rede! Das wäre ⟨wahrer⟩ Trost von euch! (Hi 13,6) 3 Ertragt mich, dann will ich reden, und nachdem ich geredet habe, magst du spotten^[1]. (Hi 12,4) 4 ⟨Trage⟩ ich mein Anliegen^[2] etwa einem Menschen vor? Oder warum sollte ich nicht ungeduldig sein? (Hi 10,1) 5 Wendet euch zu mir und schaudert und legt die Hand auf den Mund! (Hi 12,6; Pred 7,15) 8 Ihre Nachkommen stehen fest vor ihnen so gut wie sie, und ihre Sprösslinge^[3] sind vor ihren Augen. (Jes 65,23) 9 Ihre Häuser haben Frieden ohne Furcht, und Gottes Rute^[4] ist nicht über ihnen. 10 Sein Stier bespringt und verfehlt nicht, seine Kuh kalbt ohne Fehlgeburt. 11 Ihre Buben schicken sie aus wie eine Schafherde, und ihre Kinder hüpfen umher. 12 Sie^[5] erheben ⟨ihre Stimme⟩ bei^[6] Tamburin und Zither und sind fröhlich beim Klang der Flöte. 23 Dieser stirbt in seiner Vollkraft, ganz ungestört und ruhig. 24 Seine Schenkel^[15] sind voll Fett^[16], und das Mark seiner Gebeine ist ⟨wohl⟩getränkt. 25 Und jener stirbt mit bitterer Seele und hat nichts vom Glück genossen. 26 Zusammen liegen sie im Staub, und Gewürm deckt sie zu. Und hat er gehandelt, wer wird ihm vergelten? 32 Er aber, er wird zu den Gräbern geleitet, und auf dem Grabhügel hält man Wache. 33 Süß sind ihm die Schollen des Tales.
