Die Apostel sind Vorbilder im Dienst und Leiden für Christus
1Dafür halte man uns: für Diener Christi und Verwalter der Geheimnisse Gottes. (1Kor 3,5; 2Kor 6,4; Kol 1,25; Tit 1,7; 1Petr 4,10)2Übrigens sucht man hier an den Verwaltern, dass einer treu befunden wird. (Mt 25,23; Lk 12,42)3Mir aber ist es das Geringste, dass ich von euch oder von einem menschlichen ⟨Gerichts⟩tag beurteilt werde; ich beurteile mich aber auch selbst nicht.4Denn ich bin mir keiner Schuld bewusst[1], aber dadurch bin ich nicht gerechtfertigt. Der mich aber beurteilt, ist der Herr. (Röm 14,4)5So verurteilt nichts vor der Zeit, bis der Herr kommt, der auch das Verborgene der Finsternis ans Licht bringen und die Absichten der Herzen offenbaren wird! Und dann wird jedem sein Lob werden von Gott. (Ps 90,8; Mt 7,1; Röm 2,16; Röm 14,10; 1Kor 3,8; 2Kor 5,10; 1Tim 5,25)6Dies aber, Brüder, habe ich auf mich und Apollos bezogen um euretwillen, damit ihr an uns lernt, nicht über das hinaus ⟨zu denken⟩, was geschrieben ist, damit ihr euch nicht aufbläht für den einen gegen den anderen. (1Kor 3,4; 2Kor 12,20)7Denn wer gibt dir einen Vorrang[2]? Was aber hast du, das du nicht empfangen hast? Wenn du es aber auch empfangen hast, was rühmst du dich, als hättest du es nicht empfangen?8Schon seid ihr satt, schon seid ihr reich geworden; ihr seid ohne uns zur Herrschaft gekommen. Oh, dass ihr doch ⟨wirklich⟩ zur Herrschaft gekommen wäret, damit auch wir mit euch herrschen könnten! (Offb 3,17)9Denn mir scheint, dass Gott uns, die Apostel, als die Letzten hingestellt hat, wie zum Tod bestimmt; denn wir sind der Welt ein Schauspiel geworden, sowohl Engeln als ⟨auch⟩ Menschen. (Röm 8,36; 1Kor 15,31; 2Kor 6,9; Hebr 10,33)10Wir sind Narren um Christi willen, ihr aber seid klug in Christus; wir schwach, ihr aber stark; ihr geehrt, wir aber verachtet. (2Kor 11,19; 2Kor 13,9)11Bis zur jetzigen Stunde leiden wir sowohl Hunger als ⟨auch⟩ Durst und sind nackt und werden mit Fäusten geschlagen und haben keine bestimmte Wohnung (2Kor 1,5; 2Kor 11,23; 2Kor 11,27)12und mühen uns ab und arbeiten mit unseren eigenen Händen. Geschmäht, segnen wir; verfolgt, dulden wir; (Mt 5,44; Apg 18,3; Röm 12,14; 1Kor 9,15)13gelästert, reden wir gut zu; wie Unrat der Welt sind wir geworden, ein Abschaum aller bis jetzt. (Lk 6,22)14Nicht um euch zu beschämen, schreibe ich dies, sondern ich ermahne euch als meine geliebten Kinder. (Gal 4,19; 1Thess 2,11)15Denn wenn ihr zehntausend Erzieher in Christus hättet, so doch nicht viele Väter; denn in Christus Jesus habe ich euch gezeugt durch das Evangelium. (1Kor 9,1; Phlm 1,10)16Ich bitte[3] euch nun, seid meine Nachahmer! (1Kor 11,1; Phil 3,17; 2Thess 3,9)17Deshalb habe ich euch Timotheus gesandt, der mein geliebtes und treues Kind im Herrn ist; der wird euch erinnern an meine Wege in Christus, wie ich überall in jeder Gemeinde[4] lehre. (Apg 16,1; 1Kor 7,17; 1Kor 16,10; Phil 2,19; 1Tim 1,2; 2Tim 1,2; 2Tim 3,10)18Einige aber sind aufgeblasen, als ob ich nicht zu euch kommen würde. (1Kor 5,2; Kol 2,18; 1Tim 6,4)19Ich werde aber bald zu euch kommen, wenn der Herr will, und werde nicht das Wort, sondern die Kraft der Aufgeblasenen kennenlernen. (Apg 18,21; 1Kor 16,7; 2Kor 1,15)20Denn das Reich[5] Gottes ⟨besteht⟩ nicht im Wort, sondern in Kraft. (1Kor 2,4)21Was wollt ihr? Soll ich mit der Rute zu euch kommen oder in Liebe und im Geist der Sanftmut? (2Kor 10,2)

And would that you did reign, so that we might share the rule with you!9For I think that God has exhibited us apostles as last of all, like men sentenced to death, because we have become a spectacle to the world, to angels, and to men. When reviled, we bless; when persecuted, we endure; (Joh 15,20; Apg 18,3; 1Petr 3,9)13when slandered, we entreat. We have become, and are still, like the scum of the world, the refuse of all things. (Jes 30,22; Jes 64,6; Kla 3,45)14I do not write these things to make you ashamed, but to admonish you as my beloved children. (1Kor 6,5; 1Kor 15,34; 2Kor 6,13; 1Thess 2,11; 3Joh 1,4)15For though you have countless[2] guides in Christ, you do not have many fathers. For I became your father in Christ Jesus through the gospel. (1Kor 3,10; Gal 4,19; Phlm 1,10)16I urge you, then, be imitators of me. (1Kor 11,1; Phil 3,17; Phil 4,9; 1Thess 1,6; 2Thess 3,9)17That is why I sent[3] you Timothy, my beloved and faithful child in the Lord, to remind you of my ways in Christ,[4] as I teach them everywhere in every church. (1Kor 7,17; 1Kor 16,10; 1Tim 1,2; 2Tim 1,2)18Some are arrogant, as though I were not coming to you. (1Kor 4,21; 1Kor 6,1; 2Kor 10,2)19But I will come to you soon, if the Lord wills, and I will find out not the talk of these arrogant people but their power. (Apg 19,21; Apg 20,2; 1Kor 11,34; 1Kor 16,5; 1Kor 16,6; 2Kor 1,15; 2Kor 1,16)20For the kingdom of God does not consist in talk but in power. (1Kor 2,4)21What do you wish?
