Anweisung über Sammlungen für die Gemeinde in Jerusalem
1Was aber die Sammlung für die Heiligen betrifft, macht auch ihr es so, wie ich es für die Gemeinden[1] von Galatien angeordnet habe! (Apg 11,29; 2Kor 8,7)2An jedem ersten Tag der Woche lege ein jeder von euch bei sich zurück und sammle an, je nachdem er Gedeihen hat, damit nicht ⟨erst⟩ dann, wenn ich komme, Sammlungen geschehen. (Lk 24,1)3Wenn ich aber angekommen bin, so will ich solche, die ihr für bewährt haltet, mit Briefen senden, dass sie eure Gabe nach Jerusalem hinbringen. (Apg 11,30; 2Kor 8,19)4Wenn es aber ⟨der Mühe⟩ wert ist, dass auch ich hinreise, so sollen sie mit mir reisen.

5Ich werde aber zu euch kommen, wenn ich Mazedonien durchzogen habe. 10Wenn aber Timotheus kommt, so seht zu, dass er ohne Furcht bei euch ist! Denn er arbeitet am Werk des Herrn wie auch ich. (Röm 16,21; 1Kor 4,17)11Es verachte ihn nun niemand. Geleitet ihn aber in Frieden, dass er zu mir kommt! Denn ich erwarte ihn mit den Brüdern. (1Kor 14,40; Kol 3,14; 1Petr 4,8)15Ich ermahne[5] euch aber, Brüder: Ihr kennt das Haus des Stephanas, dass es der Erstling von Achaja ist und dass sie sich in den Dienst für die Heiligen gestellt haben; (Röm 16,5; 1Kor 1,16; Hebr 6,10)16dass auch ihr euch solchen unterordnet und jedem, der mitwirkt und sich abmüht. (Phil 2,29; 1Thess 5,12)17Ich freue mich aber über die Ankunft des Stephanas und Fortunatus und Achaikus, denn diese haben eure Abwesenheit ersetzt[6]. (Phil 2,30)18Denn sie haben meinen und euren Geist erquickt. Erkennt nun solche an! (Phil 2,29; 1Thess 5,12; Phlm 1,7)

Plans for Travel
5I will visit you after passing through Macedonia, for I intend to pass through Macedonia, (Apg 16,9; Apg 19,21; 1Kor 4,19)6and perhaps I will stay with you or even spend the winter, so that you may help me on my journey, wherever I go. (Apg 15,3; 1Kor 16,11)7For I do not want to see you now just in passing. I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. (Apg 18,21; 1Kor 4,19; 2Kor 1,15; 2Kor 1,16; Jak 4,15)8But I will stay in Ephesus until Pentecost, (Apg 2,1)9for a wide door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many adversaries. (Apg 14,27; Apg 19,9)10When Timothy comes, see that you put him at ease among you, for he is doing the work of the Lord, as I am. Final Instructions
12Now concerning our brother Apollos, I strongly urged him to visit you with the other brothers, but it was not at all his will[2] to come now. He will come when he has opportunity.
