1 „Neboť s královstvím nebeským je to tak, jako když jeden hospodář hned ráno vyšel najmout dělníky na svou vinici. 2 Smluvil s dělníky denár na den a poslal je na vinici. 3 Když znovu vyšel o deváté hodině, viděl, jak jiní stojí nečinně na trhu, 4 a řekl jim: ‚Jděte i vy na mou vinici, a já vám dám, co bude spravedlivé.‘ 5 Oni šli. Vyšel opět kolem poledne i kolem třetí hodiny odpoledne a učinil právě tak. 6 Když vyšel kolem páté hodiny odpoledne, našel tam další, jak tam stojí, a řekl jim: ‚Co tu stojíte celý den nečinně?‘ 7 Odpovědí mu: ‚Nikdo nás nenajal.‘ On jim řekne: ‚Jděte i vy na mou vinici.‘ 8 Když byl večer, řekl pán vinice svému správci: ‚Zavolej dělníky a vyplať jim mzdu, a to od posledních k prvním!‘ 9 Tak přišli ti, kteří pracovali od pěti odpoledne, a každý dostal denár. 10 Když přišli ti první, měli za to, že dostanou víc; ale i oni dostali po denáru. 11 Vzali ho a reptali proti hospodáři: 12 ‚Tihle poslední dělali jedinou hodinu, a tys jim dal stejně jako nám, kteří jsme nesli tíhu dne a vedro!‘ 13 On však odpověděl jednomu z nich: ‚Příteli, nekřivdím ti! Nesmluvil jsi se mnou denár za den? 14 Vezmi si, co ti patří, a jdi! Já chci tomu poslednímu dát jako tobě; 15 nemohu si se svým majetkem udělat, co chci? Nebo snad tvé oko závidí, že jsem dobrý?‘ 16 Tak budou poslední první a první poslední.“

Můžete pít kalich, který já mám pít?“ Řekli mu: „Můžeme.“ 23 Praví jim: „Můj kalich budete pít, ale udělovat místa po mé pravici či levici není má věc; ta místa patří těm, jimž je připravil můj Otec.“ 24 Když to uslyšelo ostatních deset, rozmrzeli se na oba bratry. 25 Ale Ježíš si je zavolal a řekl: „Víte, že vládcové panují nad národy a velicí je utlačují. 26 Ne tak bude mezi vámi: kdo se mezi vámi chce stát velkým, buď vaším služebníkem; 27 a kdo chce být mezi vámi první, buď vaším otrokem. 28 Tak jako Syn člověka nepřišel, aby si dal sloužit, ale aby sloužil a dal svůj život jako výkupné za mnohé.“

Das Gleichnis von den Arbeitern im Weinberg

1 Denn mit dem Himmelreich ist es wie mit einem Gutsbesitzer, der früh am Morgen hinausging, um Arbeiter für seinen Weinberg anzuwerben. 2 Er einigte sich mit den Arbeitern auf einen Denar für den Tag und schickte sie in seinen Weinberg. 3 Um die dritte Stunde ging er wieder hinaus und sah andere auf dem Markt stehen, die keine Arbeit hatten. 4 Er sagte zu ihnen: Geht auch ihr in meinen Weinberg! Ich werde euch geben, was recht ist. 5 Und sie gingen. Um die sechste und um die neunte Stunde ging der Gutsherr wieder hinaus und machte es ebenso. 6 Als er um die elfte Stunde noch einmal hinausging, traf er wieder einige, die dort standen. Er sagte zu ihnen: Was steht ihr hier den ganzen Tag untätig? 7 Sie antworteten: Niemand hat uns angeworben. Da sagte er zu ihnen: Geht auch ihr in meinen Weinberg! 8 Als es nun Abend geworden war, sagte der Besitzer des Weinbergs zu seinem Verwalter: Ruf die Arbeiter und zahl ihnen den Lohn aus, angefangen bei den Letzten, bis hin zu den Ersten! Vom Dienen und Herrschen

20 Damals kam die Frau des Zebedäus mit ihren Söhnen zu Jesus, fiel vor ihm nieder und bat ihn um etwas. (Mk 10,35) 21 Er fragte sie: Was willst du? Sie antwortete: Versprich, dass meine beiden Söhne in deinem Reich rechts und links neben dir sitzen dürfen! 22 Jesus erwiderte: Ihr wisst nicht, was ihr erbittet. Könnt ihr den Kelch trinken, den ich trinken werde? Sie sagten zu ihm: Wir können es. Laborers in the Vineyard

1 “For the kingdom of heaven is like a master of a house who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard. 2 After agreeing with the laborers for a denarius^[1] a day, he sent them into his vineyard. 3 And going out about the third hour he saw others standing idle in the marketplace, 4 and to them he said, ‘You go into the vineyard too, and whatever is right I will give you.’ 5 So they went. Going out again about the sixth hour and the ninth hour, he did the same. 6 And about the eleventh hour he went out and found others standing.
