1  Když Ježíš dokončil tato slova, odebral se z Galileje do krajin judských za Jordán. 

2  Velké zástupy šly za ním, a on je tam uzdravil.  

3  Tu k němu přišli farizeové a pokoušeli ho: „Je dovoleno propustit manželku z jakékoli příčiny?“ 

4  Odpověděl jim: „Nečetli jste, že Stvořitel od počátku ‚muže a ženu učinil je‘? 

5  A řekl: ‚Proto opustí muž otce i matku a připojí se k své manželce, a budou ti dva jedno tělo;‘ 

6  takže již nejsou dva, ale jeden. A proto co Bůh spojil, člověk nerozlučuj!“ 

7  Namítnou mu: „Proč tedy Mojžíš ustanovil, že muž smí propustit svou manželku tím, že jí dá rozlukový lístek?“ 

8  Odpoví jim: „Pro tvrdost vašeho srdce vám Mojžíš dovolil propustit manželku. Od počátku to však nebylo. 

9  Pravím vám, kdo propustí svou manželku z jiného důvodu než pro smilstvo a vezme si jinou, cizoloží.“  

10  Učedníci mu řekli: „Jestliže je to s mužem a ženou takové, pak je lépe se neženit.“ 

11  On jim odpověděl: „Ne všichni pochopí to slovo; jen ti, kterým je to dáno. 

12  Někteří nežijí v manželství, protože jsou k tomu od narození nezpůsobilí; jiní nežijí v manželství, protože je nezpůsobilými učinili lidé; a někteří nežijí v manželství, protože se ho zřekli pro království nebeské. Kdo to může pochopit, pochop.“

13  Tehdy k němu přinášeli děti, aby na ně vložil ruce a pomodlil se; ale učedníci jim to zakazovali. 

14  Ježíš však řekl: „Nechte děti a nebraňte jim jít ke mně; neboť takovým patří království nebeské.“ 

15  Požehnal jim a šel dál.  

— Bohatý mladík

16  A hle, kdosi k němu přišel a zeptal se ho: „Mistře, co dobrého mám dělat, abych získal věčný život?“ 

17  On mu řekl: „Proč se mě ptáš na dobré? Jediný je dobrý! A chceš-li vejít do života, zachovávej přikázání!“ 

18  Otázal se ho: „Která?“ Ježíš odpověděl: „Nebudeš zabíjet, cizoložit, krást, křivě svědčit, 

19  cti otce a matku, miluj svého bližního jako sám sebe.“ 

20  Mladík mu řekl: „To jsem všechno dodržoval! Co mi ještě schází?“ 

21  Ježíš mu odpověděl: „Chceš-li být dokonalý, jdi, prodej, co ti patří, rozdej chudým, a budeš mít poklad v nebi; pak přijď a následuj mne.“ 

22  Když mladík uslyšel to slovo, smuten odešel, neboť měl mnoho majetku.  

— O majetku

23  Ježíš řekl svým učedníkům: „Amen, pravím vám, že bohatý těžko vejde do království nebeského. 

24  Znovu vám říkám, snáze projde velbloud uchem jehly než bohatý do Božího království.“ 

25  Když to učedníci slyšeli, velice se zhrozili a řekli: „Kdo potom může být spasen?“ 

26  Ježíš na ně pohleděl a řekl: „U lidí je to nemožné, ale u Boha je možné všecko.“  

27  Na to mu řekl Petr: „Hle, my jsme opustili všecko a šli jsme za tebou! Co tedy budeme mít?“ 

28  Ježíš jim řekl: „Amen, pravím vám, až se Syn člověka při obnovení všeho posadí na trůn své slávy, tehdy i vy, kteří jste mě následovali, usednete na dvanáct trůnů a budete soudit dvanáct pokolení Izraele. 

29  A každý, kdo opustil domy nebo bratry nebo sestry nebo otce nebo matku nebo děti nebo pole pro mé jméno, stokrát víc dostane a bude mít podíl na věčném životě. 

30  Mnozí první budou poslední a poslední první.“

DER WEG JESU NACH JERUSALEM

Aufbruch nach Judäa

1 Und es geschah, als Jesus diese Reden beendet hatte, verließ er Galiläa und zog in das Gebiet von Judäa jenseits des Jordan. (Mk 10,1) 

2 Viele Menschen folgten ihm nach und er heilte sie dort. 

Über die Ehe, Ehescheidung und Ehelosigkeit

3 Da kamen Pharisäer zu ihm, um ihn zu versuchen, und fragten: Darf man seine Frau aus jedem beliebigen Grund aus der Ehe entlassen? (Mt 16,1; Mt 22,18; Mk 10,2) 

4 Er antwortete: Habt ihr nicht gelesen, dass der Schöpfer sie am Anfang männlich und weiblich erschaffen hat (Gn 1,27) 

5 und dass er gesagt hat: Darum wird der Mann Vater und Mutter verlassen und sich an seine Frau binden und die zwei werden ein Fleisch sein? (Gn 2,24) 

6 Sie sind also nicht mehr zwei, sondern ein Fleisch. Was aber Gott verbunden hat, das darf der Mensch nicht trennen. 

7 Sie sagten zu ihm: Wozu hat dann Mose vorgeschrieben, der Frau eine Scheidungsurkunde zu geben und sie aus der Ehe zu entlassen? (Dt 24,1; Mt 5,31) 

8 Er antwortete: Nur weil ihr so hartherzig seid, hat Mose euch gestattet, eure Frauen aus der Ehe zu entlassen. Am Anfang war das nicht so. 

9 Ich sage euch: Wer seine Frau entlässt, obwohl kein Fall von Unzucht vorliegt, und eine andere heiratet, der begeht Ehebruch. (Mt 5,32; L 16,18) 

10 Da sagten seine Jünger zu ihm: Wenn das Verhältnis des Mannes zur Frau so ist, dann ist es nicht gut zu heiraten. 

11 Jesus sagte zu ihnen: Nicht alle können dieses Wort erfassen, sondern nur die, denen es gegeben ist. 

12 Denn manche sind von Geburt an zur Ehe unfähig, manche sind von den Menschen dazu gemacht und manche haben sich selbst dazu gemacht - um des Himmelreiches willen. Wer es erfassen kann, der erfasse es. 

Die Segnung der Kinder

13 Da brachte man Kinder zu ihm, damit er ihnen die Hände auflegte und für sie betete. Die Jünger aber wiesen die Leute zurecht. (Mk 10,13; L 18,15) 

14 Doch Jesus sagte: Lasst die Kinder und hindert sie nicht, zu mir zu kommen! Denn Menschen wie ihnen gehört das Himmelreich. (Mt 18,3) 

15 Dann legte er ihnen die Hände auf und zog von dort weiter. 

Reichtum und Nachfolge

16 Und siehe, da kam ein Mann zu Jesus und fragte: Meister, was muss ich Gutes tun, um das ewige Leben zu gewinnen? (Mk 10,17; L 18,18) 

17 Er antwortete: Was fragst du mich nach dem Guten? Nur einer ist der Gute. Wenn du aber in das Leben eintreten willst, halte die Gebote! 

18 Darauf fragte er ihn: Welche? Jesus antwortete: Du sollst nicht töten, du sollst nicht die Ehe brechen, du sollst nicht stehlen, du sollst kein falsches Zeugnis geben; (Ex 20,12; Lv 19,18; Dt 5,16) 

19 ehre Vater und Mutter! Und: Du sollst deinen Nächsten lieben wie dich selbst! 

20 Der junge Mann erwiderte ihm: Alle diese Gebote habe ich befolgt. Was fehlt mir noch? 

21 Jesus antwortete ihm: Wenn du vollkommen sein willst, geh, verkauf deinen Besitz und gib ihn den Armen; und du wirst einen Schatz im Himmel haben; und komm, folge mir nach! (Mt 6,20; Mt 8,22) 

22 Als der junge Mann das hörte, ging er traurig weg; denn er hatte ein großes Vermögen. 

23 Da sagte Jesus zu seinen Jüngern: Amen, ich sage euch: Ein Reicher wird schwer in das Himmelreich kommen. 

24 Nochmals sage ich euch: Leichter geht ein Kamel durch ein Nadelöhr, als dass ein Reicher in das Reich Gottes gelangt. 

25 Als die Jünger das hörten, gerieten sie ganz außer sich vor Schrecken und sagten: Wer kann dann noch gerettet werden? 

26 Jesus sah sie an und sagte zu ihnen: Für Menschen ist das unmöglich, für Gott aber ist alles möglich. (Gn 18,14; Jb 42,2; L 1,37) 

27 Da antwortete Petrus: Siehe, wir haben alles verlassen und sind dir nachgefolgt. Was werden wir dafür bekommen? 

28 Jesus erwiderte ihnen: Amen, ich sage euch: Wenn die Welt neu geschaffen wird und der Menschensohn sich auf den Thron der Herrlichkeit setzt, werdet auch ihr, die ihr mir nachgefolgt seid, auf zwölf Thronen sitzen und die zwölf Stämme Israels richten. (Mt 25,31; L 22,30; Zj 3,21) 

29 Und jeder, der um meines Namens willen Häuser oder Brüder oder Schwestern oder Vater oder Mutter oder Kinder oder Äcker verlassen hat, wird dafür das Hundertfache erhalten und das ewige Leben erben. 

30 Viele Erste werden Letzte sein und Letzte Erste. (Mt 20,16; Mk 10,31; L 13,30)

Teaching About Divorce

1 Now when Jesus had finished these sayings, he went away from Galilee and entered the region of Judea beyond the Jordan. (Mt 4,25; Mt 17,24; Mk 10,1; L 9,51; L 17,11; J 10,40) 

2 And large crowds followed him, and he healed them there. (Mt 12,15) 

3 And Pharisees came up to him and tested him by asking, “Is it lawful to divorce one’s wife for any cause?” (Mt 5,31; J 8,6) 

4 He answered, “Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female, (Gn 1,27; Gn 2,18; Gn 2,21; Gn 5,2; Mt 21,16) 

5 and said, ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? (Gn 2,24; Mal 2,15; 1K 6,16; Ef 5,31) 

6 So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.” (1K 7,10) 

7 They said to him, “Why then did Moses command one to give a certificate of divorce and to send her away?” (Dt 24,1) 

8 He said to them, “Because of your hardness of heart Moses allowed you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. (Mk 3,5; Mk 6,52; Mk 16,14; Žd 3,8) 

9 And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery.” (Mt 5,32) 

10 The disciples said to him, “If such is the case of a man with his wife, it is better not to marry.”

12 For there are eunuchs who have been so from birth, and there are eunuchs who have been made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven. Let the one who is able to receive this receive it.” (1K 7,32) 

Let the Children Come to Me

13 Then children were brought to him that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples rebuked the people, (Mk 10,13; Mk 10,48; L 18,15) 

14 but Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.” (Mt 18,3; Mk 9,39) 

15 And he laid his hands on them and went away. 

The Rich Young Man

16 And behold, a man came up to him, saying, “Teacher, what good deed must I do to have eternal life?” (Mt 18,8; Mt 19,29; Mt 25,46; Mk 10,17; L 10,25; L 18,18) 

17 And he said to him, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only one who is good. If you would enter life, keep the commandments.” (Lv 18,5; Neh 9,29; Ez 20,11; Ez 20,13; Ez 20,21; Ř 10,5; Ga 3,12)

29 And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or lands, for my name’s sake, will receive a hundredfold and will inherit eternal life. (Mt 19,16; Mt 25,34; L 14,26)

2 And great multitudes followed him; and he healed them there. 

3 The Pharisees also came unto him, tempting him, and saying unto him, Is it lawful for a man to put away his wife for every cause? 

4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, 

5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? 

6 Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder. 

7 They say unto him, Why did Moses then command to give a writing of divorcement, and to put her away? 

8 He saith unto them, Moses because of the hardness of your hearts suffered you to put away your wives: but from the beginning it was not so. 

9 And I say unto you, Whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery. 

10 His disciples say unto him, If the case of the man be so with his wife, it is not good to marry. 

11 But he said unto them, All men cannot receive this saying, save they to whom it is given. 

12 For there are some eunuchs, which were so born from their mother's womb: and there are some eunuchs, which were made eunuchs of men: and there be eunuchs, which have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven's sake. He that is able to receive it, let him receive it. 

13 Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. 

14 But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven.

16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 

17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 

18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?

23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.
