Davidův, píseň. 2Ztišením se sluší tebe chválit, Bože, na Sijónu, plnit tobě sliby. 3 K tobě, jenž modlitby slyšíš, přichází veškeré tvorstvo. 4 Přemohly mě nepravosti, našich nevěrností jenom ty nás zprostíš. 5 Blaze tomu, koho vyvolíš a přijmeš, aby směl pobývat ve tvých nádvořích. Tam se budem sytit dary tvého domu, tvého svatého chrámu. 6 Ve své spravedlnosti nám odpovídáš činy budícími bázeň, Bože, naše spáso, naděje všech končin země i zámořských dálek, 7 jenž jsi upevnil svou mocí hory, opásán bohatýrskou silou, 8 jenž konejšíš hukot moří, hukot jejich vlnobití i vřavu národů. 9 Z tvých znamení jímá bázeň obyvatele všech končin, tam, kde jitro nastává i kde se snáší večer, všechno naplňuješ plesem. 10 Navštěvuješ zemi, hojností ji zahrnuješ, velmi bohatou ji činíš. Boží potok je naplněn vodou, pečuješ jim o obilí, ano, máš o zemi péči: 11 zavlažuješ brázdy, kypříš hroudy, vydatnými prškami ji činíš vláčnou, žehnáš tomu, co z ní raší. 12 Ty svou dobrotou celý rok korunuješ, ve tvých stopách kane tučnost, 13 kane na pastviny v stepi, a pahorky jásotem se opásaly. 14 Louky se oděly stády, doliny se halí obilím, zvučí hlaholem a zpěvem.
