1  Pro předního zpěváka; pro Kórachovce, píseň vysokým hlasem.  2  Bůh je naše útočiště, naše síla, pomoc v soužení vždy velmi osvědčená.  3  Proto se bát nebudeme, byť se převrátila země a základy hor se pohnuly v srdci moří.  4  Ať si jejich vody hučí, ať se pění, ať se hory pro jejich zpupnost třesou! - Sela-  5  Řeka svými toky oblažuje město Boží, svatyni příbytku Nejvyššího.  6  Nepohne se, Bůh je v jeho středu, Bůh mu pomáhá hned při rozbřesku jitra.  7  Pronárody hlučí, království se hroutí, jen vydá hlas a země se rozplývá.  8  Hospodin zástupů je s námi, Bůh Jákobův, hrad náš nedobytný. -Sela-  9  Pojďte jen, pohleďte na Hospodinovy skutky, jak úžasné činy v zemi koná!  10  Činí přítrž válkám až do končin země, tříští luky, láme kopí, spaluje v ohni válečné vozy.  11  „Dost už! Uznejte, že já jsem Bůh. Budu vyvyšován mezi pronárody, vyvyšován v zemi.“  12  Hospodin zástupů je s námi, Bůh Jákobův, hrad náš nedobytný. -Sela-

1 To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth.[1] A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present[2] help in trouble. (Dt 4,7; 1Pa 15,20; Ž 9,9; Ž 14,6; Ž 42,1; Ž 145,18) 2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, (Ž 18,7; Ez 27,26) 3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. (Ž 93,3; Jr 5,22) 4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. (Ž 36,8; Ž 43,3; Ž 48,1; Ž 65,9; Ž 84,1; Ž 87,3; Iz 8,6; Iz 33,21; Iz 60,14; Zj 22,1) 5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
