CHVALTE HOSPODINOVO JMÉNO

1 Haleluja. Chvalte Hospodinovo jméno, chvalte je, Hospodinovi služebníci, 2 kteří stojíte v Hospodinově domě, v nádvořích domu našeho Boha. 3 Chvalte Hospodina, neboť Hospodin je dobrý, pějte žalmy jeho jménu, neboť je líbezné. 4 Hospodin si vyvolil Jákoba, za zvláštní vlastnictví přijal Izraele. 5 Já přec vím, že Hospodin je velký, náš Pán je nade všechny bohy. 6 Všechno, co Hospodin chce, to činí na nebesích i na zemi, v mořích i ve všech propastných tůních. 7 Přivádí mlhu od končin země, déšť provází blesky, ze svých zásobnic vyvádí vítr. 8 Prvorozené Egypta pobil od člověka po dobytče. 9 Znamení a zázraky sesílal na tebe, Egypte, na faraóna, na všechny jeho služebníky. 10 Pobil mnohé pronárody a zahubil smělé krále, 11 krále Emorejců Síchona a bášanského krále Óga i všechna království Kenaanu. 12 Jejich země předal do dědictví, do dědictví Izraeli, svému lidu. 13 Hospodine, tvé jméno je věčné, budeš připomínán ve všech pokoleních, Hospodine. 14 Hospodin svůj lid obhájí, bude mít se svými služebníky soucit. 15 Modly pronárodů jsou stříbro a zlato, dílo lidských rukou. 16 Mají ústa, a nemluví, mají oči, a nevidí. 17 Mají uši, a nic nezaslechnou, v jejich ústech není dechu. 18 Jim podobni jsou ti, kdo je zhotovují, každý, kdo v ně doufá. 19 Dome Izraelův, dobrořeč Hospodinu, dome Áronův, dobrořeč Hospodinu. 20 Dome Léviův, dobrořeč Hospodinu, vy, kdo se bojíte Hospodina, dobrořečte Hospodinu. 21 Požehnán buď Hospodin ze Sijónu, ten, který přebývá v Jeruzalémě.
