Salmo de David, Cuando huía delante de su hijo Absalón

1 ¡Oh YHVH, cómo se han multiplicado mis adversidades! Muchos son los que se levantan contra mí. 

2 Muchos dicen de mi alma: No hay salvación para él en ’Elohim. Selah 

3 Pero tú, oh YHVH, eres escudo alrededor mío, Mi gloria, y el que hace levantar mi cabeza. 

4 Con mi voz clamé a YHVH, Y Él me respondió desde su Santo Monte. Selah 

5 Yo me acosté y dormí, Y desperté, porque YHVH me sostiene. 

6 No temeré a decenas de millares de gente Que pongan sitio contra mí. 

7 ¡Levántate, oh YHVH, y sálvame Dios mío! Porque Tú eres el que golpea a todos mis enemigos en la mejilla, Y quebrantas los dientes de los malvados. 

8 La salvación es de YHVH, Sobre tu pueblo sea tu bendición. Selah

Save Me, O My God

A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

1 O LORD, how many are my foes! Many are rising against me; (2 S 15:12; 2 S 18:31; 2 S 18:32) 

2 many are saying of my soul, “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selah (2 S 16:8; Sal 71:11) 

3 But you, O LORD, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head. (Gn 15:1; Job 1:10; Job 10:15; Sal 27:5; Sal 27:6; Sal 28:7; Sal 84:9; Sal 119:114) 

4 I cried aloud to the LORD, and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah (Sal 2:6; Sal 6:8; Sal 34:4; Sal 34:6; Sal 60:5; Sal 77:1; Sal 108:6; Sal 142:1) 

5 I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the LORD sustained me. (Lv 26:6; Job 11:18; Job 11:19; Sal 4:8; Pr 3:24) 

6 I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around. (1 R 20:12; Sal 23:4; Sal 27:3; Is 22:7) 

7 Arise, O LORD! Save me, O my God! For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked. (Nm 10:35; Job 16:10; Job 29:17; Sal 7:6; Sal 9:19; Sal 10:12; Sal 58:6)
