1 ¿Para qué se sublevan las naciones, Y los pueblos traman cosas vanas? 

2 Se alzarán los reyes de la tierra, Y con príncipes consultarán unidos, Contra YHVH y contra su Ungido, diciendo: 

3 ¡Rompamos sus ligaduras Y echemos de nosotros sus cuerdas! 

4 El que se sienta en los cielos se sonreirá, Adonay se burlará de ellos. 

5 Luego les hablará en su ardiente ira, Los aterrorizará en su indignación. 

6 Yo mismo he ungido a mi Rey sobre Sión, mi santo monte. 

7 Yo promulgaré el decreto: YHVH me ha dicho: Mi hijo eres Tú, Yo te he engendrado hoy. 

8 ¡Pídeme!, y te daré por herencia las naciones, Y como posesión tuya los confines de la tierra. 

9 Los quebrantarás con cetro de hierro, Los desmenuzarás como vasija de alfarero. 

10 Ahora pues, oh reyes, actuad sabiamente. Admitid amonestación, jueces de la tierra: 

11 Servid a YHVH con temor, Y regocijaos con temblor. 

12 ¡Besad los pies al Hijo! No sea que se irrite y perezcáis en el camino, Pues de repente se inflama su ira. ¡Cuán bienaventurados son todos los que se refugian en Él!

The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain? (Sal 46:6; Hch 4:25; Hch 4:26) 

2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD and against his Anointed, saying, (Sal 18:50; Sal 20:6; Sal 45:7; Sal 89:20) 

3 “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” (Jer 5:5) 

4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. (Job 22:19; Sal 11:4; Sal 29:10; Sal 37:13; Sal 59:8; Pr 1:26; Is 40:22) 

5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, (Ap 6:16; Ap 6:17) 

6 “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” (2 S 5:7; Sal 3:4; Sal 15:1; Sal 43:3; Sal 99:9; Sal 110:2; Pr 8:23) 

7 I will tell of the decree: The LORD said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. (Hch 13:33; Ro 1:4; Heb 1:5; Heb 5:5) 

8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. (Sal 72:8; Sal 89:27; Dn 7:14)

10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth. 

11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (Flp 2:12; Flp 4:4; Heb 12:28)
