Salmo 14

Salmo 14

English Standard Version

de Crossway
1 To the choirmaster. Of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds; there is none who does good. (Gn 6:5; Gn 6:11; Job 2:10; Sal 10:4; Sal 53:1; Sal 74:18; Sal 74:22; Ro 3:10)2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand,[1] who seek after God. (2 Cr 15:2; 2 Cr 19:3; Sal 11:4; Sal 102:19)3 They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. (Job 15:16)4 Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the Lord? (Sal 27:2; Sal 79:6; Sal 82:5; Pr 30:14; Is 1:3; Is 64:7; Jer 4:22; Jer 10:25; Os 7:7; Am 8:4; Miq 3:3)5 There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous. (Sal 24:6; Sal 73:15)6 You would shame the plans of the poor, but[2] the Lord is his refuge. (Sal 46:1; Sal 61:3; Sal 62:7; Sal 91:2; Sal 142:5)7 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad. (Job 42:10; Sal 85:1; Sal 126:1; Jer 30:18; Ez 16:53; Ez 39:25; Os 6:11; Jl 3:1)
