Tabernaklet sätts samman

1-2 "Sätt upp tältet på första dagen i den första månaden", sa Herren till Mose. 3 "Inuti det ska du placera arken med de tio budorden, och sedan ska du hänga upp förhänget framför arken i det allraheligaste. 4 Ställ sedan in bordet och lägg alla tillbehör på det och ta in ljusstaken och tänd lamporna. 5 Guldaltaret för rökelsen ska du placera framför arken. Sätt upp draperiet framför ingången till tabernaklet 6 och placera brännofferaltaret framför ingången. 7 Mellan uppenbarelsetältet och altaret ska du ställa tvättfatet och fylla det med vatten. 8 Sedan ska du göra i ordning förgården utanför tältet och hänga upp förhänget för ingången till förgården. 9 Därefter ska du ta smörjelseoljan och stänka av den överallt på tabernaklet och på allt som finns inne i det, tillbehör och inredning, för att det ska bli helgat. 10 Stänk smörjelseolja på brännofferaltaret och dess tillbehör och helga det, för sedan ska altaret vara högheligt. 11 Smörj sedan tvättfatet och ställningen till det, så att det blir helgat. 12 För sedan fram Aron och hans söner till ingången av tältet och tvätta dem med vatten 13 och ta på Aron de heliga kläderna och smörj honom, så att han blir helgad till att tjäna mig som präst. 14 För sedan fram hans söner och ta på dem kläderna 15 och smörj dem, som du gjorde med deras far, så att de kan tjäna mig som präster. Deras smörjelse till tjänst ska sedan gälla från generation till generation. Alla deras barn och barnbarn ska för alltid vara mina präster." 16 Mose utförde precis allt vad Herren hade bett honom om. 17 På första dagen i första månaden av det andra året blev tabernaklet uppsatt. 18 Mose byggde det. Han ställde socklarna på plats och satte fast brädorna i dem. 19 Sedan bredde han ut tältdukarna över ställningarna och lade på överdraget, precis som Herren hade befallt. 20 Inne i arken placerade han stenarna med de tio budorden inhuggna och satte dit bärstängerna till arken och placerade benådningsplatsen ovanpå arken. 21 Sedan förde han in arken i tabernaklet och satte upp förhänget för att dölja den, allt enligt Herrens befallning. 22 Sedan ställde han bordet på norra sidan av rummet utanför förhänget 23 och lade skådebröden på bordet inför Herren, precis som Herren gett order om. 24 Han ställde ljusstaken mitt emot bordet, på södra sidan av tältet. 25 Sedan ordnade han lamporna så som Herren ville ha dem, 26 ställde guldaltaret i tältet intill förhänget 27 och tände rökelsen av fina kryddor på altaret, precis som Herren hade befallt. 28 Han satte upp draperiet för ingången till tabernaklet, 29 ställde altaret för brännoffren mitt för ingången och offrade brännoffer och spisoffer på det. Allt blev som Herren hade befallt. 30 Sedan ställde han tvättfatet mellan tältet och altaret och fyllde det med vatten, så att prästerna skulle kunna använda det för att tvätta sig. 31 Mose och Aron och Arons söner tvättade sina händer och fötter där 32 varje gång de skulle gå till altaret och in i tältet, precis som Herren hade sagt till Mose att de skulle göra. 33 Därefter satte han upp inhägnaden till förgården som skulle omge tältet och altaret och satte upp förhänget för ingången till förgården. Och så hade då Mose avslutat allt sitt arbete.

Guds härlighet

34 Då kom molnet och täckte tältet och Herrens härlighet fyllde det. 35Mose kunde inte gå in, därför att molnet fanns där och Herrens härlighet fyllde tältet. 36Och så snart molnet höjde sig från tältet, gick Israels folk vidare och följde det. 37Men när molnet stannade, stannade också allt folket tills den dag molnet började röra sig igen.38Molnet vilade över tältet under dagarna, och på nätterna var det som en eld i molnet, så att Israels folk alltid kunde se det. På detta sätt var det under hela deras resa.

3 And you shall put in it the ark of the testimony, and you shall screen the ark with the veil. (2 Mos 35:12; 2 Mos 40:21) 4 And you shall bring in the table and arrange it, and you shall bring in the lampstand and set up its lamps. The Glory of the Lord

35 And Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle. 36 Throughout all their journeys, whenever the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle, the people of Israel would set out. (4 Mos 9:17; 4 Mos 10:11; Neh 9:19) 37 But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not set out till the day that it was taken up.
