Jorden og alt, hvad der er på den, tilhører Herren, hele verden og alle, som bor i den. 2 Han grundlagde jorden på verdenshavene, dens fundament lagde han på havets dyb. 3 Hvem kan stige op på Herrens bjerg? Hvem har lov at gå ind i hans helligdom? 4 De, som har rene motiver og gør det gode, som ikke tilbeder afguder eller sværger falsk. 5 Sådanne mennesker bliver velsignet af Gud og nyder godt af hans trofasthed og godhed. 6 Kun de må komme ind i Herrens nærhed og tilbede Jakobs Gud. 7 Luk de ældgamle døre vidt op, gør plads i byens indgangsport, så den almægtige Konge kan komme ind. 8 Hvem er den almægtige Konge? Det er Herren, som er stærk og mægtig. Det er Herren, som vinder enhver kamp. 9 Luk de ældgamle døre vidt op, gør plads i byens indgangsport, så den almægtige Konge kan komme ind. 10 Hvem er den almægtige Konge? Det er Herren, som styrer alt. Han er den almægtige Konge.

1 A Psalm of David. The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof,[1] the world and those who dwell therein, (2.Mos 9,29; 2.Mos 19,5; 5.Mos 10,14; Job 41,11; Salm 50,12; Salm 89,11; 1.Kor 10,26) 2 for he has founded it upon the seas and established it upon the rivers. (1.Mos 1,9; Job 38,6; Salm 104,5; Salm 136,6; Ord 8,29) 3 Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in his holy place? (Salm 2,6; Salm 15,1) 4 He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false and does not swear deceitfully. (5.Mos 10,12; Job 22,30; Salm 31,6; Salm 73,1; Salm 119,37; Es 33,15; Ez 18,6; Mika 6,8; Matt 5,8) 5 He will receive blessing from the Lord and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
