1I was glad when they said to me, “Let us go to the house of the LORD!” (Es 2,3; Mika 4,2; Zak 8,21)2Our feet have been standing within your gates, O Jerusalem!3Jerusalem— built as a city that is bound firmly together, (Neh 4,6; Salm 147,2)4to which the tribes go up, the tribes of the LORD, as was decreed for[1] Israel, to give thanks to the name of the LORD. (5.Mos 16,16; Salm 78,5)5There thrones for judgment were set, the thrones of the house of David. (5.Mos 17,8; 2.Sam 15,2; 1.Kong 3,16; 1.Kong 7,7; 2.Krøn 19,8)6Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! “May they be secure who love you! (Salm 51,18; Jer 29,7)7Peace be within your walls and security within your towers!” (Salm 48,13)8For my brothers and companions’ sake I will say, “Peace be within you!” (1.Sam 25,6; Salm 85,8)9For the sake of the house of the LORD our God, I will seek your good. (Neh 2,10; Ester 10,3)
