Salme 123

Salme 123

English Standard Version

fra Crossway
1 A Song of Ascents. To you I lift up my eyes, O you who are enthroned in the heavens! (Salm 2,4; Salm 25,15; Salm 120,1; Salm 121,1; Salm 141,8)2 Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maidservant to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till he has mercy upon us.3 Have mercy upon us, O Lord, have mercy upon us, for we have had more than enough of contempt. (Neh 4,4; Salm 4,1)4 Our soul has had more than enough of the scorn of those who are at ease, of the contempt of the proud. (Neh 2,19; Salm 119,51; Es 32,9; Es 32,11; Amos 6,1)
