1 ГОСПОД каза още на Моисей: Иди, вдигни се оттук, ти и народът, който си извел от египетската земя, и иди в земята, за която се клех на Авраам, на Исаак и на Яков, като казах: На твоето потомство ще я дам. (Бит 12:7; Изх 32:7; Изх 32:13) 2 И ще изпратя пред теб ангел, и ще изгоня ханаанеца, аморееца, хета, ферезееца, евееца и йевусееца; (Изх 32:34; Изх 34:11; Вт 7:22; И Н 24:11) 3 и той ще ви заведе в земя, където текат мляко и мед; понеже Аз няма да вървя между вас (защото сте твърдоглав народ), да не би да ви довърша по пътя. (Изх 3:8; Изх 23:21; Изх 32:9; Изх 32:10; Изх 33:15; Изх 33:17; Изх 34:9; Чис 16:21; Чис 16:45; Вт 9:6; Вт 9:13) 4 Когато народът чу това лошо известие, се наскърби; и никой не си сложи украшения. (Лев 10:6; Чис 14:1; Чис 14:39; 2 Цар 19:24; 3 Цар 21:27; 4 Цар 19:1; Езд 9:3; Ест 4:1; Ест 4:4; Йов 1:20; Йов 2:12; Ис 32:11; Ез 24:17; Ез 24:23; Ез 26:16) 5 Защото ГОСПОД беше казал на Моисей: Кажи на израилтяните: Вие сте твърдоглав народ; за малко, ако бих дошъл между вас, бих ви довършил; затова свалете си сега украшенията, за да видя какво ще сторя с вас. (Изх 33:3; Чис 16:45; Чис 16:46; Вт 8:2; Пс 139:23) 6 И така, израилтяните махнаха украшенията си, като се отдалечиха от планината Хорив. 7 Още Моисей взе шатъра и го постави вън от стана, далеч от стана, и го нарече Шатър за Срещане, и всеки, който търсеше ГОСПОДА, излизаше при шатъра за срещане, който беше вън от стана. (Изх 25:22; Изх 31:18; Пс 99:7) 10 И целият народ гледаше облачния стълб, който стоеше на входа на шатъра, и целият народ ставаше, всеки на входа на шатъра си, и се кланяше. (Изх 4:31) 11 ГОСПОД говореше на Моисей лице с лице, както човек говори с приятеля си; а като се връщаше Моисей в стана, младият му служител Исус, Навиновият син, не се отдалечаваше от шатъра. (Бит 32:30; Изх 24:13; Чис 12:8; Вт 34:10) 12 И така, Моисей каза на ГОСПОДА: Ето, Ти ми казваш: Води този народ; но не си ми явил кого ще изпратиш с мене; но пак Ти си ми казал: Тебе познавам по име, още си придобил Моето благоволение. (Бит 18:19; Изх 32:34; Изх 33:17; Пс 1:6; Ер 1:5; Йн 10:14; Йн 10:15; 2 Тим 2:19) 13 Ако аз съм придобил Твоето благоволение, покажи ми, моля Ти се, пътя Си, за да Те позная и придобия благоволението Ти; и разсъди, че този народ е Твой народ. (Изх 34:9; Вт 9:26; Вт 9:29; Пс 25:4; Пс 27:11; Пс 86:11; Пс 119:33; Йоил 2:17) 14 И ГОСПОД каза: Самият Аз ще вървя с теб и Аз ще те успокоя. (Изх 13:21; Изх 40:34; Вт 3:20; И Н 21:44; И Н 22:4; И Н 23:1; Пс 95:11; Ис 63:9) 15 А Моисей му отговори: Ако Ти не дойдеш с мене, не ни извеждай оттук. (Изх 33:3; Изх 34:9) 16 Защото как ще се познае сега, че съм придобил Твоето благоволение, аз и Твоят народ? Нали чрез Твоето идване с нас стана така, че да се отделим аз и Твоят народ от всички народи, които са по лицето на земята. (Изх 34:10; Чис 14:14; Вт 4:7; Вт 4:34; 2 Цар 7:23; 3 Цар 8:53; Пс 147:20) 17 ГОСПОД каза още на Моисей: И това, което си казал, ще направя, защото си придобил Моето благоволение и те познавам по име. (Бит 19:21; Изх 33:12; Як 5:16) 18 Тогава Моисей каза: Покажи ми, моля, славата Си. (Изх 33:20; 1 Тим 6:16) 19 А ГОСПОД му отвърна: Аз ще направя да мине пред тебе цялата Моя благост и ще проглася пред теб Името Йехова; и ще покажа милост към когото ще покажа, и ще пожаля когото ще пожаля. (Изх 34:5; Ер 31:14; Рим 4:4; Рим 4:16; Рим 9:15; Рим 9:16; Рим 9:18) 20 Каза още: Не можеш да видиш лицето Ми; защото човек не може да Ме види и да остане жив. (Бит 32:30; Изх 24:10; Вт 5:24; Съд 6:22; Съд 13:22; Ис 6:5; Отк 1:16; Отк 1:17) 21 ГОСПОД каза още: Ето място близо до Мене; ти ще застанеш на канарата; 22 и когато минава славата Ми, ще те поставя в една пукнатина на канарата и ще те прикрия с ръката Си, докато премина; (Пс 91:1; Пс 91:4; Ис 2:21) 23 после ще вдигна ръката Си и ще Ме видиш отзад; но Лицето Ми няма да се види. (Изх 33:20; Йн 1:18)

1 The LORD said to Moses, “Depart; go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought up out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘To your offspring I will give it.’ (Бит 12:7; Изх 32:7; Изх 32:13) 2 I will send an angel before you, and I will drive out the Canaanites, the Amorites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Hivites, and the Jebusites. (Изх 13:5; Изх 14:19) 3 Go up to a land flowing with milk and honey; but I will not go up among you, lest I consume you on the way, for you are a stiff-necked people.” (Изх 3:8; Изх 32:9; Изх 32:10; Изх 33:15; Чис 16:21; Чис 16:45) 4 When the people heard this disastrous word, they mourned, and no one put on his ornaments. (Чис 14:39; Ез 24:17; Ез 24:23; Ез 26:16) 5 For the LORD had said to Moses, “Say to the people of Israel, ‘You are a stiff-necked people; if for a single moment I should go up among you, I would consume you. So now take off your ornaments, that I may know what to do with you.’” (Изх 32:12; Изх 33:3; Изх 33:4) 6 Therefore the people of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments, from Mount Horeb onward. 7 Now Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, far off from the camp, and he called it the tent of meeting. And everyone who sought the LORD would go out to the tent of meeting, which was outside the camp. (Изх 13:21) 10 And when all the people saw the pillar of cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, all the people would rise up and worship, each at his tent door. 11 Thus the LORD used to speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. When Moses turned again into the camp, his assistant Joshua the son of Nun, a young man, would not depart from the tent. (Изх 33:1) 16 For how shall it be known that I have found favor in your sight, I and your people? Is it not in your going with us, so that we are distinct, I and your people, from every other people on the face of the earth?” (Изх 19:5; Изх 19:6; Чис 14:14; 3 Цар 8:53) 17 And the LORD said to Moses, “This very thing that you have spoken I will do, for you have found favor in my sight, and I know you by name.” (Изх 33:12) 18 Moses said, “Please show me your glory.” (1 Тим 6:16) 19 And he said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you and will proclaim before you my name ‘The LORD.’ And I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.
