(Йн 18:38; Д А 3:13)5Тогава Иисус излезе вън с трънения венец и в багреница. И рече им Пилат: ето Човекът!6А когато първосвещениците и слугите Го видяха, завикаха и казваха: разпни, разпни Го! Пилат им казва: вие Го вземете и разпиете, защото аз не намирам у Него вина. (Мт 27:23; Мк 15:14; Лк 23:4; Д А 13:28)7Иудеите му отговориха: ние имаме закон, и по нашия закон Той трябва да умре, защото Себе Си направи Син Божий. (Вт 18:20)8Когато Пилат чу тая дума, повече се уплаши.9И пак влезе в преторията и рече на Иисуса: отде си Ти? Но Иисус му не даде отговор. (Ис 53:7; Йн 18:33)10Пилат Му казва: на мене ли не отговаряш? Не знаеш ли, че имам власт да Те разпна, и власт имам да Те пусна?11Иисус отговори: ти не щеше да имаш над Мене никаква власт, ако ти не бе дадено свише; затова по-голям грях има оня, който Ме предаде на тебе. (Лк 22:53)12От това време Пилат търсеше случай да Го пусне. Иудеите обаче викаха и казваха: ако пуснеш Тогова, не си приятел на кесаря. Всякой, който прави себе си цар, е противник на кесаря.13Пилат, като чу тая дума, изведе вън Иисуса и седна на съдището, на мястото, наречено Литостротон[1], а по еврейски Гавата.14Тогава беше петък пред Пасха, около шестия час. И рече Пилат на иудеите: ето вашия Цар!15Ала те завикаха: премахни Го, премахни, разпни Го! Пилат им казва: вашия Цар ли да разпна? Първосвещениците отговориха: ние нямаме друг цар, освен кесаря.16И тогава им Го предаде, за да бъде разпнат. И взеха Иисуса и Го поведоха.17И носейки кръста Си, Той излезе на мястото, наречено Лобно, по еврейски Голгота; (Мт 27:33; Мк 15:22; Лк 23:33; Евр 13:12)18там Го разпнаха, и с Него други двама, от едната и от другата страна, а посред – Иисуса.19А Пилат написа и надпис, и го постави на кръста. Написано беше: Иисус Назорей, Цар Иудейски.20Тоя надпис четоха мнозина от иудеите, понеже беше близо до града мястото, дето Иисус бе разпнат, и написаното бе по еврейски, гръцки и латински.21А първосвещениците иудейски казваха на Пилата: недей писа: Цар Иудейски, но че Той каза: Цар Иудейски съм.22Пилат отговори: каквото писах, писах.23Войниците пък, като разпнаха Иисуса, взеха дрехите Му (и ги разделиха на четири дяла, по един дял на всеки войник,) и хитона. Хитонът не беше шит, а изтъкан цял отгоре додолу. (Мт 27:35; Мк 15:24; Лк 23:34)24Тогава рекоха си един другиму: да го не раздираме, а да хвърлим за него жребие, чий да бъде; за да се сбъдне реченото в Писанието: „разделиха дрехите Ми помежду си и за одеждата Ми хвърлиха жребие“. Тъй направиха войниците. (Пс 21:14)25При кръста Иисусов стояха майка Му и сестрата на майка Му, Мария Клеопова, и Мария Магдалина. (Лк 2:35)26А Иисус, като видя майка Си и стоещия там ученик, когото обичаше, казва на майка Си: жено, ето син ти!27После казва на ученика: ето майка ти! И от оня час ученикът я прибра при себе си.28След това Иисус, като знаеше, че всичко вече е свършено, за да се сбъдне Писанието, казва: жеден съм. (Пс 68:22; Мт 27:48)29Там имаше съсъд, пълен с оцет. Войниците напоиха гъба с оцет, надянаха я на исопова тръст и поднесоха на устата Му.30А когато Иисус вкуси от оцета, рече: свърши се! И като наведе глава, предаде дух.31И понеже тогава беше петък, иудеите, за да не останат телата върху кръста в събота (защото оная събота беше велик ден), помолиха Пилата, да им пребият пищелите и да ги снемат. (Вт 21:23)32Тогава дойдоха войниците и пребиха пищелите на първия, както и на другия, разпнат с Него.33А когато дойдоха при Иисуса и Го видяха вече умрял, не Му пребиха пищелите;34но един от войниците прободе с копие ребрата Му, и веднага изтече кръв и вода.35И който видя, засвидетелствува, и свидетелството му е истинско; и той знае, че говори истина, за да повярвате вие.36Защото това стана, за да се сбъдне Писанието: „кост Негова няма да се строши“. (Изх 12:46; Чис 9:12)37И пак друго Писание казва: „ще погледнат на Тогова, Когото прободоха“. (Зах 12:10; Отк 1:7)38След това Иосиф, от Ариматея (ученик Иисусов, но таен, поради страх от иудеите), помоли Пилата да снеме тялото Иисусово, и Пилат позволи. Той дойде и сне тялото Иисусово. (Мт 27:57; Мк 15:43; Лк 23:50)39Дойде също и Никодим (който беше ходил изпреди при Иисуса нощя) и донесе около сто литри смес от смирна и алой. (Йн 3:2; Йн 7:50)40Тогава взеха тялото Иисусово и Го обвиха в повивки с благовонията, както по обичая си иудеите погребват.41На онова място, дето беше разпнат, имаше градина, и в градината – нов гроб, в който още никой не бе полаган.42Там положиха Иисуса, поради петъка иудейски, понеже гробът беше наблизо.
1Then Pilate took Jesus and flogged him. (Мт 20:19; Мт 27:26; Мк 15:15; Лк 23:16)2And the soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his head and arrayed him in a purple robe. (Мт 27:27; Мк 15:16)3They came up to him, saying, “Hail, King of the Jews!” and struck him with their hands.4Pilate went out again and said to them, “See, I am bringing him out to you that you may know that I find no guilt in him.” (Йн 18:38; Йн 19:6)5So Jesus came out, wearing the crown of thorns and the purple robe. Pilate said to them, “Behold the man!” (Йн 19:2; Йн 19:14)6When the chief priests and the officers saw him, they cried out, “Crucify him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Take him yourselves and crucify him, for I find no guilt in him.” (Йн 18:31; Йн 19:4)7The Jews[1] answered him, “We have a law, and according to that law he ought to die because he has made himself the Son of God.” (Лев 24:16; Мт 26:63; Лк 22:70; Йн 5:17; Йн 10:33; Йн 10:36)8When Pilate heard this statement, he was even more afraid. (Мт 27:19)9He entered his headquarters again and said to Jesus, “Where are you from?” But Jesus gave him no answer. (Мт 26:63; Йн 7:27; Йн 18:33; Йн 18:37)10So Pilate said to him, “You will not speak to me? Do you not know that I have authority to release you and authority to crucify you?”11Jesus answered him, “You would have no authority over me at all unless it had been given you from above. Therefore he who delivered me over to you has the greater sin.” (Мт 27:2; Йн 9:41; Йн 18:14; Йн 18:28; Рим 13:1)12From then on Pilate sought to release him, but the Jews cried out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s friend. Everyone who makes himself a king opposes Caesar.” (Лк 23:2; Д А 3:13)13So when Pilate heard these words, he brought Jesus out and sat down on the judgment seat at a place called The Stone Pavement, and in Aramaic[2] Gabbatha. (Мт 27:19)14Now it was the day of Preparation of the Passover. It was about the sixth hour.[3] He said to the Jews, “Behold your King!” (Мт 27:62; Йн 18:28; Йн 19:5)15They cried out, “Away with him, away with him, crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The chief priests answered, “We have no king but Caesar.” (Лк 23:18; Д А 21:36)
The Crucifixion
16So he delivered him over to them to be crucified. So they took Jesus, (Мт 27:26; Мк 15:15; Лк 23:25; Йн 18:36)17and he went out, bearing his own cross, to the place called The Place of a Skull, which in Aramaic is called Golgotha. (Мт 27:32; Мт 27:33; Мк 15:21; Мк 15:22; Лк 14:27; Лк 23:26; Лк 23:33)18There they crucified him, and with him two others, one on either side, and Jesus between them. (Мт 27:38; Мк 15:24; Мк 15:27; Лк 23:32)19Pilate also wrote an inscription and put it on the cross. It read, “Jesus of Nazareth, the King of the Jews.” (Мт 27:37; Мк 15:26; Лк 23:38)20Many of the Jews read this inscription, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic, in Latin, and in Greek. (Чис 15:35; Йн 19:17; Евр 13:12)21So the chief priests of the Jews said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The King of the Jews,’ but rather, ‘This man said, I am King of the Jews.’”22Pilate answered, “What I have written I have written.” (Бит 43:14; Ест 4:16)23When the soldiers had crucified Jesus, they took his garments and divided them into four parts, one part for each soldier; also his tunic.[4] But the tunic was seamless, woven in one piece from top to bottom, (Мт 27:35; Мк 15:24; Лк 23:34)24so they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but cast lots for it to see whose it shall be.” This was to fulfill the Scripture which says, “They divided my garments among them, and for my clothing they cast lots.” So the soldiers did these things, (Пс 22:18; Йн 13:18)25but standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene. (Мт 27:55; Мк 15:40; Лк 23:49)26When Jesus saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” (Йн 2:4; Йн 13:23)27Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. (Йн 16:32)
The Death of Jesus
28After this, Jesus, knowing that all was now finished, said (to fulfill the Scripture), “I thirst.” (Пс 69:21; Йн 4:6; Йн 19:24; Йн 19:30)29A jar full of sour wine stood there, so they put a sponge full of the sour wine on a hyssop branch and held it to his mouth. (Мт 27:48; Мк 15:36; Лк 23:36)30When Jesus had received the sour wine, he said, “It is finished,” and he bowed his head and gave up his spirit. (Мт 27:50; Мк 15:37; Лк 23:46; Йн 17:4; Йн 19:28; Д А 13:29)
Jesus’ Side Is Pierced
31Since it was the day of Preparation, and so that the bodies would not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and that they might be taken away. (Изх 12:16; Вт 21:23; И Н 8:29; И Н 10:26; Йн 19:14)32So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who had been crucified with him. (Йн 19:18)33But when they came to Jesus and saw that he was already dead, they did not break his legs.34But one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and at once there came out blood and water. (1 Йн 5:6; 1 Йн 5:8)35He who saw it has borne witness—his testimony is true, and he knows that he is telling the truth—that you also may believe. (Йн 15:27; Йн 20:31; Йн 21:24; 1 Йн 1:1; Отк 1:2)36For these things took place that the Scripture might be fulfilled: “Not one of his bones will be broken.” (Изх 12:46; Чис 9:12; Пс 34:20; Мт 1:22; 1 Кор 5:7)37And again another Scripture says, “They will look on him whom they have pierced.” (Зах 12:10; Отк 1:7)
Jesus Is Buried
38After these things Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus, and Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body. (Мт 27:57; Мк 15:42; Лк 23:50; Йн 7:13)39Nicodemus also, who earlier had come to Jesus[5] by night, came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about seventy-five pounds[6] in weight. (Пс 45:8; Пр 7:17; П П 4:14; Мк 16:1; Лк 24:1; Йн 3:1; Йн 7:50)40So they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. (2 Лет 16:14; Лк 24:12; Йн 11:44; Йн 20:5; Д А 5:6)41Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. (4 Цар 21:18; 4 Цар 21:26; Мк 11:2; Лк 23:53; Йн 20:15)42So because of the Jewish day of Preparation, since the tomb was close at hand, they laid Jesus there. (Йн 19:14; Йн 19:31; Йн 19:41)
