1 Přednímu kantoru z synů Chóre, píseň na alamot. 

2 Bůh jest naše útočiště i síla, ve všelikém ssoužení pomoc vždycky hotová. 

3 A protož nebudeme se báti, byť se pak i země podvrátila, a zpřevracely se hory do prostřed moře. 

4 Byť i ječely, a kormoutily se vody jeho, a hory se rozrážely od dutí jeho. Sélah. 

5 Potok a pramenové jeho obveselují město Boží, nejsvětější z příbytků Nejvyššího. 

6 Bůh jest u prostřed něho, nepohneť se; přispějeť jemu Bůh na pomoc hned v jitře. 

7 Když hlučeli národové, a pohnula se království, vydal hlas svůj, a rozplynula se země. 

8 Hospodin zástupů jest s námi, hradem vysokým jest nám Bůh Jákobův. Sélah. 

9 Poďte, vizte skutky Hospodinovy, jakýchť jest pustin nadělal na zemi. 

10 Přítrž činí bojům až do končin země, lučiště láme, kopí posekává, a vozy spaluje ohněm, 

11 Mluvě: Upokojtež se, a vězte, žeť jsem já Bůh, kterýž vyvýšen budu mezi národy, vyvýšen budu na zemi. [ (Psalms 46:12) Hospodin zástupů jest s námi, hradem vysokým jest nám Bůh Jákobův. Sélah. ]

God Is Our Fortress

1 To the choirmaster. Of the Sons of Korah. According to Alamoth. A Song. God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. (Dt 4,7; 1Pa 15,20; Ž 9,9; Ž 14,6; Ž 42,1; Ž 145,18) 

2 Therefore we will not fear though the earth gives way, though the mountains be moved into the heart of the sea, (Ž 18,7; Ez 27,26) 

3 though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling. (Ž 93,3; Jr 5,22) 

4 There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy habitation of the Most High. (Ž 36,8; Ž 43,3; Ž 48,1; Ž 65,9; Ž 84,1; Ž 87,3; Iz 8,6; Iz 33,21; Iz 60,14; Zj 22,1) 

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns. (Lv 26,12; Dt 23,14; Iz 12,6; Ez 43,7; Ez 43,9; Oz 11,9; Jl 2,27; Sf 3,15; Za 2,5; Za 2,10; Za 8,3)

7 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Nu 14,9; 2Pa 13,12; 2Pa 20,17; Ž 46,11) 

8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, how he has brought desolations on the earth. (Ž 66,5) 

9 He makes wars cease to the end of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the chariots with fire. (1S 2,4; Ž 76,3; Iz 2,4; Ez 39,9; Mi 4,3) 

10 “Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!” (Ex 14,13; Iz 2,11; Iz 2,17; Iz 33,10) 

11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress. (Ž 46,7)
