1Zatím přidal Elihu, a řekl:2Postrp mne maličko, a oznámímť šíře; neboť mám ještě, co bych za Boha mluvil.3Vynesu smysl svůj zdaleka, a stvořiteli svému přivlastním spravedlnost.4V pravdě, žeť nebudou lživé řeči mé; zdravě smýšlejícího máš mne s sebou.5Aj, Bůh silný mocný jest, aniž svých zamítá; silný jest, a srdce udatného.6Neobživuje bezbožného, chudým pak k soudu dopomáhá.7Neodvrací od spravedlivého očí svých, nýbrž s králi na stolici sází je na věky, i bývají zvýšeni.8Pakli by poutami sevříni byli, zapleteni jsouce provazy ssoužení:9Tudy jim v známost uvodí hřích jejich, a že přestoupení jejich se ssilila.10A tak otvírá sluch jejich, aby se napravili, anobrž mluví jim, aby se navrátili od nepravosti.11Uposlechnou-li a budou-li jemu sloužiti, stráví dny své v dobrém, a léta svá v potěšení.12Pakli neuposlechnou, od meče sejdou, a pozdychají bez umění.13Nebo kteříž jsou nečistého srdce, přivětšují hněvu, aniž k němu volají, když by je ssoužil.14Protož umírá v mladosti duše jejich, a život jejich s smilníky.15Vytrhuje, pravím, ssouženého z jeho ssoužení, a ty, jejichž sluch otvírá, v trápení.16A tak by i tebe přenesl z prostředku úzkosti na širokost, kdež není stěsnění, a byl by pokojný stůl tvůj tukem oplývající.17Ale ty zasloužils, abys jako bezbožný souzen byl; soud a právo na tě dochází.18Jistě strach, aby tě neuvrhl Bůh u větší ránu, tak že by jakkoli veliká výplaty mzda, tebe nevyprostila.19Zdaliž by sobě co vážil bohatství tvého? Jistě ani nejvýbornějšího zlata, ani jakékoli síly neb moci tvé.20Nechvátejž tedy k noci, v kterouž odcházejí lidé na místo své.21Hleď, abys se neohlédal na marnost, zvoluje ji raději, nežli ssoužení.22Aj, Bůh silný nejvyšší jest mocí svou. Kdo jemu podobný učitel?23Kdo jemu vyměřil cestu jeho? Kdo jemu smí říci: Činíš nepravost?24Pamětliv buď raději, abys vyvyšoval dílo jeho, kteréž spatřují lidé,25Kteréž, pravím, všickni lidé vidí, na něž člověk patří zdaleka.26Nebo Bůh silný tak jest veliký, že ho nemůžeme poznati, počet let jeho jest nevystižitelný.27On zajisté vyvodí krůpěje vod, kteréž vylévají déšť z oblaků jeho,28Když se rozpouštějí oblakové, a kropí na mnohé lidi.29(Anobrž vyrozumí-li kdo roztažení oblaků, a zvuku stánku jeho,30Jak rozprostírá nad ním světlo své, aneb všecko moře přikrývá?31Skrze ty věci zajisté tresce lidi, a též dává pokrmu hojnost.32Oblaky zakrývá světlo, a přikazuje mu ukrývati se za to, co je potkává.)33Ohlašuje o něm zvuk jeho, též dobytek, a to hned, když pára zhůru vstupuje. [ (Job 36:34) Takéť se i nad tím děsí srdce mé, až se pohybuje z místa svého. ]
1 Elíhú dále pokračoval slovy: 2 „Měj se mnou trochu trpělivosti a sdělím ti, že ještě mám o Bohu co říci. 3 Začnu se svým věděním zdaleka a přiznám svému Učiniteli spravedlnost, 4 neboť opravdu má slova nejsou klam; před tebou je člověk dokonalých vědomostí. 5 Hle, Bůh je úctyhodný, nezavrhne bez příčiny, je úctyhodný silou i srdcem. 6 Nenechá naživu svévolníka, ale utištěným dopomůže k právu. 7 Od spravedlivého neodvrací zrak; s králi je na trůn dosazuje navždy a jsou vyvýšeni. 8 Jsou-li však spoutáni řetězy, chyceni do provazů utrpení, 9 oznamuje jim, čeho se dopustili, že se rozbujela jejich přestoupení, 10 otvírá jim ucho pro napomenutí a vyzývá je, aby se odvrátili od ničemností. 11 Poslechnou-li, budou-li mu sloužit, dokončí své dny v pohodě a v rozkoších svá léta. 12 Neposlechnou-li, sejdou hubící střelou a zahynou pro svou nerozvážnost. 13 Kdo jsou rouhavého srdce, přispívají k hněvu, nevolají o pomoc, ani když je spoutá. 14 Proto zemře jejich duše v mládí a jejich život skončí se zasvěcenci smilstva. 15 Utištěného zachrání skrze jeho utrpení, otevře mu ucho skrze útlak.
— Kdo je podobný Bohu?
16 To on tě odláká z jícnu soužení; abys měl kolem volný prostor, bez stísněnosti, a poklidný stůl plný tučnosti. 17 Chceš-li se svévolně přít, pře tě přivede před soud. 18 Ať tě rozhořčení nezláká k tleskání a velké výkupné ať tě nesvede z cesty. 19 Vytrhne tě volání o pomoc, když se soužíš a napínáš všechnu svou sílu? 20 Nedychti po noci, která odvede národy z jejich míst. 21 Bedlivě dbej, aby ses neobracel k ničemnosti a nevolil ji raději než utrpení. 22 Hle, jak nedostupný je Bůh ve své síle! Kdo je učitel podobný jemu? 23 Kdo smí dohlížet na jeho cestu? Kdo smí říci: ‚Jednáš podle?‘ 24 Pamatuj, že máš vyvyšovat jeho dílo, jež lidé opěvují. 25 Všichni lidé je vyhlížejí, avšak člověk přihlíží jen zdáli.

26 Hle, Bůh je vyvýšený, nad naše poznání, počet jeho let je nevyzpytatelný. 27 Přitahuje vodní kapky, padají jako déšť a v jeho záplavu se mění, 28 když se z mračen valí proudy a hojně skrápějí člověka. 29 Rozumí někdo rozprostření mraků, hromobití v jeho stánku? 30 Hle, nad tím rozprostírá světlo a přikrývá kořeny moře. 31 Povede při s lidmi ten, jenž dává hojný pokrm. 32 Dlaněmi se chápe světla blesků, přikazuje jim zasáhnout útočníka. 33 Ohlašuje ho jeho hromový hlahol, dokonce i stádo ohlašuje jeho příchod.
1A Elihu pokračoval dál:2„Měj se mnou trochu strpení a povím ti, co lze v Boží prospěch ještě říct.3Z veliké dálky přináším poznání, svého Stvořitele tu obhájím.4Má slova opravdu nejsou žádné lži, máš tu člověka skvělých znalostí.5Hle, Bůh je mocný a není váhavý, je mocný a v srdci rozhodný.6Ničemy jistě nenechává žít, k právu pomáhá ubohým.7Neodvrací zrak od poctivých, na trůn je s králi posadí, aby je povýšil až navěky.8Jsou-li však spoutáni řetězy, v provazech bídy jsou-li chyceni,9tehdy jim ukazuje, co provedli, čím se provinili a jak zpyšněli.10Otevírá jim uši, aby je poučil, říká jim, že se mají od zla odvrátit.11Pokud poslechnou a budou mu sloužit, dožijí své dny ve štěstí, svá léta v samé radosti.12Pokud však neposlechnou, zahubí je šíp, zahynou vlastní nevědomostí.13Bezbožní ve svém srdci hněv si střádají, o pomoc nevolají ani spoutáni řetězy.14Uprostřed mládí proto zmírají, končí svůj život mezi smilníky.15Bůh zachraňuje ubohé jejich bídami, otevírá jim uši soužením.16Ano, i tebe zve zprostřed úzkosti do nekonečné svobody, ke stolu obtíženému jídlem nejlepším.17Ty jsi však obtížen soudem ničemných, soud a spravedlnost se tě zmocňují!18Pozor, ať se nedáš zlákat hojností, ať tě nesvádějí veliké úplatky.19Myslíš, že ti bohatství pomůže z úzkosti, ať už se snažíš sebevíc?20Nedychti po noci, kdy lidé mizí ze svých míst.21Neopovažuj se ke zlu obrátit, i když se ti líbí víc než strádání!22Hle, Bůh je ve své moci vznešený. Který učitel je mu podobný?23Kdo mu může vytknout jeho způsoby? Kdo mu smí říci: ‚Pácháš bezpráví‘?24Pamatuj, že jeho dílo musíš velebit; lidé je oslavují svými písněmi.25Všichni smrtelníci to dílo spatřují, člověk je vidí aspoň zpovzdálí.26Hle, Bůh je veliký nad naše chápání, jeho léta nelze ani vypočíst!27On z moře vynáší kapky do výšky, aby se v jeho mlze na déšť srážely,28aby se pak z mraků proudem valily a skrápěly lidstvo v hojnosti.29Což někdo rozumí, jak se mračna stahují a jak z jeho stanu hřmí?30Hle, jak kolem sebe šíří blesky, jak jimi pokrývá mořské hlubiny!31Takovým způsobem spravuje národy, takto jim opatřuje pokrm v hojnosti.32Ve svých dlaních svírá blesky, velí jim zasáhnout jejich cíl.33Vypovídá o něm jeho burácení – on bouří hněvem proti bezpráví!“
1Dann fuhr Elihu fort und sprach:2Warte ein wenig, ich will es dir künden, / ich habe für Gott noch mehr zu sagen.3Ich trage mein Wissen weit hinaus, / meinem Schöpfer verschaffe ich Recht.4Denn wahrhaftig, meine Worte sind kein Trug, / ein Mann vollkommenen Wissens steht vor dir.5Sieh, Gott ist gewaltig, er verwirft nicht, / gewaltig ist die Kraft seines Herzens.6Den Frevler lässt er nicht am Leben, / doch den Gebeugten schafft er Recht.7Er wendet seine Augen nicht von dem Gerechten; / Könige auf dem Thron: / für immer setzt er sie ein, sie werden groß. (Da 4,14)8Doch sind in Fesseln sie geschlagen, / gefangen in des Elends Stricken, (2Pa 33,11; Ž 107,10)9so hält er ihnen ihr Tun vor / und ihre Vergehen, weil sie stolz geworden.10Er öffnet ihr Ohr zur Warnung, / fordert sie auf, vom Bösen zu lassen.11Wenn sie hören und ihm dienen, / vollenden sie im Glück ihre Tage, / in Wonnen ihre Jahre.12Hören sie nicht, / so fahren sie zum Todesschacht hinab, / verscheiden im Unverstand.13Ruchlos Gesinnte hegen Groll, / schreien nicht um Hilfe, wenn er sie fesselt.14Schon in der Jugend muss ihre Seele sterben, / ihr Leben im Alter von Geweihten.15Den Geplagten rettet er durch seine Plage / und öffnet durch Bedrängnis sein Ohr.16Auch dich hat er aus dem Rachen der Bedrängnis gelockt, / in Weite stehst du, nicht in Enge, / voll ist dein Tisch von fetten Speisen.17Das Gericht über den Frevler hat sich an dir erfüllt, / Gericht und Urteil haben zugefasst.18Zornglut verführe dich nicht beim Schicksalsschlag / und reiches Lösegeld verleite dich nicht.19Wird dein Schreien aus der Not dich führen / und alle Anstrengungen voll Kraft?20Sehne nicht die Nacht herbei, / in der Völker hinaufsteigen von ihrer Stätte!21Hüte dich und wende dich nicht zum Bösen! / Denn du wirst durch Leid geprüft.
Über Gottes Größe
22Sieh, groß ist Gott in seiner Macht. / Wer ist ein Lehrer wie er? (Ex 35,34; Ž 27,11; Ž 95,3; Iz 28,23; Iz 50,4; Da 2,47)23Wer will ihm weisen seinen Weg? / Wer kann ihm sagen: Du tust Unrecht? (Iz 40,13; Ř 11,33)24Denk daran, hoch sein Werk zu preisen, / von dem die Menschen Lieder singen.25Alle Welt schaut es, / von ferne nur erblickt es der Mensch.26Sieh, Gott ist groß, wir begreifen ihn nicht, / unerforschlich ist die Zahl seiner Jahre. (Ž 145,3)27Denn er zieht die Wassertropfen herauf, / als Regen ergießen sie sich aus dem Dunst. (Jb 28,25)28Durch ihn rieseln die Wolken, / träufeln nieder auf die vielen Menschen.29Wer gar versteht der Wolke Schweben, / den Donnerhall aus seinem Zelt?
