1 I přikázal Mojžíš a izraelští starší lidu: Dbejte na každý příkaz, který vám dnes udílím.2 V den, kdy přejdete Jordán do země, kterou ti dává Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, postavíš si veliké kameny a obílíš je vápnem.3 Napíšeš na ně všechna slova tohoto zákona, až přejdeš Jordán a vejdeš do země, kterou ti dává Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, do země oplývající mlékem a medem, jak k tobě mluvil Hospodin, Bůh tvých otců.4 Až tedy přejdete Jordán, postavíte na hoře Ébalu ony kameny, jak vám dnes přikazuji, a obílíš je vápnem.5 Vybuduješ tam oltář Hospodinu, svému Bohu, oltář z kamenů, ale nebudeš je opracovávat železem.6 Z neopracovaných kamenů vybuduješ oltář Hospodinu, svému Bohu, a budeš na něm obětovat zápalné oběti Hospodinu, svému Bohu.7 Budeš tam také obětovat a jíst pokojné oběti a radovat se před Hospodinem, svým Bohem.8 A na kameny napíšeš co nejzřetelněji všechna slova tohoto zákona. 9 I promluvil Mojžíš a lévijští kněží k celému Izraeli: Ztiš se a slyš, Izraeli, stal ses dnešního dne lidem Hospodina, svého Boha.10 Budeš poslouchat Hospodina, svého Boha, a plnit jeho příkazy a jeho nařízení, která ti dnes přikazuji. 11 Onoho dne Mojžíš lidu dále přikázal:12 Až přejdete Jordán, postaví se na hoře Gerizímu, aby žehnali lidu: Šimeón, Lévi, Juda, Isachar, Josef a Benjamín.13 A tito se postaví na hoře Ébalu, aby zlořečili: Rúben, Gád, Ašer, Zabulón, Dan a Neftalí.14 Lévijci střídavě se všemi izraelskými muži budou pronášet zvýšeným hlasem: 15 „Buď proklet muž, který zhotoví tesanou nebo litou sochu, ohavnost před Hospodinem, výrobek rukou řemeslníka, a uloží ji v úkrytu.“ A všechen lid odpoví a řekne: „Amen.“ 16 „Buď proklet, kdo zlehčuje svého otce a svou matku.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 17 „Buď proklet, kdo posouvá mezník svého bližního.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 18 „Buď proklet, kdo svádí slepce z cesty.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 19 „Buď proklet, kdo převrací právo bezdomovce, sirotka a vdovy.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 20 „Buď proklet, kdo obcuje se ženou svého otce, neboť odkryl cíp pláště svého otce.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 21 „Buď proklet, kdo obcuje s nějakým zvířetem.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 22 „Buď proklet, kdo obcuje se svou sestrou, dcerou svého otce nebo dcerou své matky.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 23 „Buď proklet, kdo obcuje se svou tchyní.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 24 „Buď proklet, kdo tajně ubije svého bližního.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 25 „Buď proklet, kdo vezme úplatek, aby ubil člověka a prolil nevinnou krev.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“ 26 „Buď proklet, kdo nebude plnit slova tohoto zákona a dodržovat je.“ A všechen lid řekne: „Amen.“
1Mojžíš tehdy se stařešiny Izraele přikázal lidu: Zachovávejte všechna přikázání, která vám dnes udílím.2V den, kdy přejdeš Jordán do země, kterou ti dává Hospodin, tvůj Bůh, vztyč veliké kameny, které nabílíš vápnem.3Jakmile překročíš Jordán, napiš na ně všechna slova tohoto Zákona.
