1 Takto praví Hospodin: Pro troji nešlechetnost Moábovu, ovšem pro čtveru neodpustím jemu, proto že spálil kosti krále Idumejského na vápno. 2 Ale pošli oheň na Moába, kterýžto zžíře paláce Kariot, i umře s hlukem Moáb, s křikem a s hlasem trouby. 3 A vypléním soudce jeho, i všecka knížata jeho zmorduji s ním, praví Hospodin. 4 Takto praví Hospodin: Pro troji nešlechetnost Judovu, ovšem pro čtveru neslituji se nad ním, proto že oni pohrdají zákonem Hospodinovým, a ustanovení jeho neostříhají, a svodí se lžmi svými, jichž následovali otcové jejich. 5 Ale pošli oheň na Judu, kterýžto zžíře paláce Jeruzalémské. 6 Takto praví Hospodin: Pro troji nešlechetnost Izraelovu, ovšem pro čtveru neodpustím jemu, proto že prodávají spravedlivého za peníze, a nuzného za pár střevíců. 7 Kteříž dychtí, aby chudé s prstí smísili, a cestu tichých převracejí; nadto syn i otec vcházejí k jedné a též mladici, aby poškvrnili jména svatosti mé. 8 A na oděvu zastaveném klanějí se při každém oltáři, a víno pokutovaných pijí v domě bohů svých, 9 Ješto jsem já vyhladil Amorejského od tváři jejich, jehož vysokost byla jako vysokost cedrů. Ačkoli pevně stál jako dub, však jsem zkazil svrchu ovoce jeho, pospodu pak kořeny jeho. 10 A vás já jsem vyvedl z země Egyptské, a vyvedl jsem vás po poušti čtyřidceti let, abyste dědičně vládli zemí Amorejského. 11 A vzbuzoval jsem z synů vašich proroky, a z mládenců vašich Nazarejské. Zdaliž není tak, ó synové Izraelští? praví Hospodin. 12 Ale vy jste napájeli Nazarejské vínem, a prorokům jste zapovídali, řkouce: Neprorokujte. 13 Aj, já tlačiti budu zemi vaši tak, jako vůz těžký tlačí snopy. 14 I zahyne utíkání od rychlého, silný též neužive síly své, a udatný nevysvobodí života svého. 15 A ten, kterýž se chápá lučiště, neostojí, a čerstvý na nohy své neuteče, a ten, kterýž jezdí na koni, nevysvobodí života svého. 16 Ale i zmužilého srdce mezi nejudatnějšími nahý utíkati bude v ten den, praví Hospodin.

6 Toto praví Hospodin: Pro trojí zločin Izraele, ba pro čtverý, toto neodvolám, protože za stříbro prodávají spravedlivého a ubožáka pro pár opánků. 7 Baží dostat hlavy nuzáků do prachu země, pokorné zavádějí na scestí, syn i otec chodí za nevěstkou, a tak znesvěcují moje svaté jméno. 8 Rozvalují se na zabavených oděvech při každém oltáři. Vydřené pokuty propíjejí ve víně v domě svého boha. 9 Já jsem zničil před nimi Emorejce vysoké jako cedry a pevné jako duby. Zničil jsem je od koruny až ke kořenům. 10 Já jsem vás vyvedl z egyptské země, vodil jsem vás čtyřicet let pouští a pak jste obsadili emorejskou zemi. 11 Z vašich synů jsem povolával proroky, z vašich jinochů nazíry. Není tomu tak, synové Izraele? je výrok Hospodinův. 12 Avšak vy jste dávali nazírům pít víno a prorokům jste přikazovali: „Neprorokujte!“ 13 Hle, já vás budu tlačit k zemi jako povoz plný snopů. 14 Hbitý neuteče, silný nebude moci užít své síly, bohatýr se nezachrání. 15 Lučištník neobstojí, rychlonohý neunikne, jezdec na koni se nezachrání. 16 Z bohatýrů i ten nejsrdnatější v onen den uteče nahý, je výrok Hospodinův.

Moáb zahyne uprostřed vřavy, válečného křiku a troubení. 3 Odstraním z jeho středu soudce, všechny jeho velmože pobiji spolu s ním, praví Hospodin. 4 Toto praví Hospodin: Juda hřešil trojnásob, čtyřnásob – už toho mám dost! Za to, že Hospodinův zákon zavrhli a neřídili se jeho pravidly, že se dali svést svými podvody, za kterými už jejich předci šli, 5 za to sešlu na Judu oheň, aby pohltil jeruzalémské paláce.

6 Toto praví Hospodin: Izrael hřešil trojnásob, čtyřnásob – už toho mám dost! Nevinné prodávají za peníz a ubohé za dva sandály.^[1] 7 Chudé zašlapávají do země a ponížené krátí na právech. Za nevěstkou chodí otec i syn, aby mé svaté jméno prznili. 8 Při kdejakém oltáři se na zabavených pláštích^[2] válejí a v chrámě svého boha pijí víno vybrané na pokutách. 9 Já jsem před nimi Emorejce porazil, ač byli jako cedry vysocí a jako duby mohutní. Zničil jsem je shora od koruny až dolů po kořeny. 10 Já jsem vás vyvedl z Egypta a čtyřicet let po poušti vedl vás, aby vám emorejská země připadla. 11 Z vašich synů jsem probouzel proroky a z vašich mladíků nazíry.^[3] Copak to tak není, Izraelci? praví Hospodin. 12 Vy jste však nazíry napájeli vínem, prorokům jste přikazovali: „Neprorokujte!“ 13 Hle, já vás k zemi přitlačím jako těžký vůz plný obilí. 14 Běžec nebude mít kam utéct, silákovi síla nezbude, hrdina nezachrání se. 15 Neobstojí ani lukostřelec, rychlonohý posel neunikne, jezdec na koni nezachrání se. 16 Nejstatečnější hrdina v ten den bude nahý utíkat, praví Hospodin.

Moab

1 So spricht der HERR: Wegen der drei Verbrechen von Moab / und wegen der vier nehme ich es nicht zurück: Weil Moab die Gebeine des Königs von Edom / zu Kalk verbrannte, (Iz 15,1; Jr 48,1) 2 darum schicke ich Feuer gegen Moab; / es frisst die Paläste von Kerijot und Moab stirbt im Getümmel, / im Geschrei, beim Schall der Hörner. 3 Ich vernichte den Herrscher aus seiner Mitte / und erschlage zusammen mit ihm alle seine Großen, / spricht der HERR.

Juda

4 So spricht der HERR: Wegen der drei Verbrechen von Juda / und wegen der vier nehme ich es nicht zurück: Weil sie die Weisung des HERRN missachteten / und seine Gesetze nicht bewahrten, weil sie sich irreführen ließen von ihren Lügengöttern, / denen schon ihre Väter gefolgt sind, (Iz 5,24) 5 darum schicke ich Feuer gegen Juda; / es frisst Jerusalems Paläste.
