1 И наближаваше празникът на безквасните хлябове, който се нарича Пасха[1]. 2 И главните свещеници и книжниците обмисляха как да Го умъртвят; защото се бояха от народа. 3 Тогава Сатана влезе в Юда, наречен Искариотски, който беше от числото на дванадесетте[2]; 4 и той отиде и се наговори с главните свещеници и началниците на стражата как да им Го предаде. 5 И те се зарадваха и се споразумяха да му дадат пари. 6 И той обеща и търсеше удобен случай да Го предаде, когато би отсъствало множеството. 7 И настана денят на безквасните хлябове, когато трябваше да се заколи пасхатаст. 1;. 8 И Иисус изпрати Петър и Йоан и им каза: Идете и ни пригответе, за да ядем пасхата. 9 А те Му казаха: Къде искаш да приготвим? 10 А Той им каза: Ето, като влезете в града, ще ви срещне човек, който носи стомна с вода; последвайте го в къщата, в която влезе, 11 и кажете на стопанина на къщата: Учителят ти казва: Къде е гостната стая, в която ще ям пасхата с учениците Си? 12 И той ще ви посочи голяма горна стая, постлана; там пригответе. 13 И като отидоха, намериха, както им беше казал, и приготвиха пасхата. 14 И като дойде часът, Той седна на трапезата, и апостолите с Него. 15 И им каза: Твърде много съм желал да ям тази пасха с вас, преди да пострадам, 16 защото ви казвам, че няма да я ям, докато не се изпълни в Божието царствост. 30;. 17 И като взе чашата, благодари и каза: Вземете това и го разделете помежду си, 18 защото ви казвам, че няма вече да пия от плода на лозата, докато не дойде Божието царствост. 30;. 19 И взе хляб и като благодари, разчупи го, даде им и каза: Това е Моето тяло, което за вас се дава; това правете за Мое възпоменание. 20 Така взе и чашата след вечерята и каза: Тази чаша е новият завет в Моята кръв, която за вас се пролива. 21 Но ето, ръката на този, който Ме предава, е с Мен на трапезата. 22 Защото Човешкият Син наистина отива, както е било определено, но горко на този човек, чрез когото се предава! 23 И те започнаха да се питат помежду си кой ли от тях ще е този, който ще стори това. 24 Стана още и спор помежду им кой от тях се счита за по-голям. 25 А Той им каза: Царете на народите господстват над тях и тези, които ги владеят, се наричат благодетели. 26 Но вие недейте така; а по-големият между вас нека бъде като по-малкия, и който ръководи – като онзи, който слугува. 27 Защото кой е по-голям: този, който седи на трапезата ли, или онзи, който слугува? Не е ли този, който седи на трапезата? Но Аз съм сред вас като Онзи, който слугува. 28 А вие сте онези, които устояхте с Мен в Моите изпитания. 29 Затова, както Моят Отец завеща царство на Мен, и Аз завещавам на вас – 30 да ядете и да пиете на трапезата Ми в Моето царство[3] и да седнете на престоли да съдите дванадесетте израилеви племена. 31 (И Господ каза:) Симоне, Симоне, ето, Сатана ви пожела, за да ви сее като жито, 32 но Аз се молих за теб, да не отслабне твоята вяра; и ти, когато се обърнеш, утвърди братята си. 33 Петър Му каза: Господи, готов съм да отида с Теб и в тъмница, и на смърт. 34 А Той каза: Казвам ти, Петре, петелът няма да пропее днес, преди ти три пъти да се отречеш, че Ме познавашст. 61;. 35 И им каза: Когато ви пратих без кесия, без торба и без сандали, останахте ли лишени от нещо? А те казаха: От нищо. 36 И им каза: Но сега, който има кесия, нека я вземе, също така и торба; и който няма, нека продаде дрехата си и нека си купи меч, 37 защото ви казвам, че трябва да се изпълни в Мен и това писание: „И към беззаконници беше причислен“, защото писаното за Мен наближава към своето изпълнение. 38 И те казаха: Господи, ето тук има два меча. А Той им каза: Достатъчно е. 39 И като излезе, отиде по обичая Си на Елеонския хълм, а и учениците Му Го последваха. 40 И като дойде на мястото, им каза: Молете се да не паднете в изкушение. 41 И Той се отдели от тях колкото един хвърлей камък и като коленичи, се молеше, като казваше: 42 Отче, ако е волята Ти, отмини Ме с тази чаша, но нека бъде не Моята воля, а Твоята. 43 И Му се яви ангел от небето и Го подкрепяше. 44 И като беше в борба, се молеше по-усърдно и потта Му стана като големи капки кръв, които капеха на земята. 45 И като стана от молитвата, дойде при учениците и ги намери заспали от тъга, и им каза: 46 Защо спите? Станете и се молете, за да не паднете в изкушение. 47 Докато още говореше, ето, дойде едно множество и този, който се наричаше Юда, един от дванадесетте[4], вървеше пред тях, и се приближи до Иисус, за да Го целуне. 48 А Иисус му каза: Юда, с целувка ли предаваш Човешкия Син? 49 И тези, които бяха около Иисус, като видяха какво ще стане, казаха: Господи, да ударим ли с меч? 50 И един от тях удари слугата на първосвещеника и му отсече дясното ухо. 51 Но Иисус отговори и каза: Спрете дотук. И се допря до ухото му и го изцели. 52 А на дошлите против Него главни свещеници, началници на храмовата стража и старейшини Иисус каза: Като срещу разбойник ли сте излезли с мечове и тояги? 53 Когато бях всеки ден с вас в храма, не протегнахте ръце срещу Мен. Но сега е вашият час и властта на тъмнината. 54 И като Го хванаха, Го поведоха и Го въведоха в къщата на първосвещеника. А Петър следваше отдалеч. 55 И когато накладоха огън сред двора и насядаха около него, и Петър седна между тях. 56 И една слугиня, като го видя седнал до огъня, се вгледа в него и каза: И този беше с Него. 57 А той се отрече, като каза: Жено, не Го познавам. 58 След малко друг го видя и каза: И ти си от тях. Но Петър каза: Човече, не съм. 59 И като се мина около един час, друг някой настоятелно твърдеше: Наистина и този беше с Него, защото е галилеянин. 60 А Петър каза: Човече, не зная какво казваш. И веднага, докато още говореше, петелът пропя. 61 И Господ се обърна и погледна Петър. И Петър си спомни думата на Господа – как му беше казал: Преди петелът да пропее, ти три пъти ще се отречеш от Мен[5]. 62 И като излезе навън, плака горко. 63 А мъжете, които държаха Иисус, Му се подиграваха и Го биеха, 64 и като Го закриваха, (Го удряха по лицето и) Го питаха, казвайки: Пророкувай! Кой Те удари? 65 И много други хули изговориха против Него. 66 А като се разсъмна, народните старейшини, главните свещеници и книжниците се събраха и Го заведоха в Синедриона си, и Му казаха: 67 Ако си Ти Христос, кажи ни. А Той каза: Ако ви кажа, няма да повярвате; 68 и ако ви задам въпрос, няма да Ми отговорите. 69 Но отсега нататък Човешкият Син ще седи отдясно на Божията сила. 70 И те всички казаха: Тогава Ти Божият Син ли си? А Той им каза: Вие казвате, защото Аз съм. 71 А те казаха: Какво свидетелство ни трябва още? Защото ние сами чухме от устата Му!

1 Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread drew near, which is called the Passover. (Мт 26:2; Мк 14:1; Йн 6:4) 2 And the chief priests and the scribes were seeking how to put him to death, for they feared the people. (Мт 21:46; Йн 11:53) 3 Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. (Мт 26:14; Мт 27:3; Мк 14:10; Лк 6:16; Йн 6:71; Йн 12:4; Йн 13:2; Йн 13:27; Йн 13:30; Д А 1:16; Д А 5:3) 4 He went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers how he might betray him to them. (Д А 4:1; Д А 5:24; Д А 5:26) 5 And they were glad, and agreed to give him money. 6 So he consented and sought an opportunity to betray him to them in the absence of a crowd. (Мт 20:18) 7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed. (Изх 12:18; Мт 26:17; Мк 14:12; 1 Кор 5:7) 8 So Jesus[1] sent Peter and John, saying, “Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat it.” 9 They said to him, “Where will you have us prepare it?” 10 He said to them, “Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him into the house that he enters 11 and tell the master of the house, ‘The Teacher says to you, Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ (Лк 2:7; Йн 11:28) 12 And he will show you a large upper room furnished; prepare it there.” (Д А 1:13) 13 And they went and found it just as he had told them, and they prepared the Passover. (Лк 19:32) 14 And when the hour came, he reclined at table, and the apostles with him. (Мт 26:20; Мк 14:17) 15 And he said to them, “I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer. 16 For I tell you I will not eat it[2] until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.” (Лк 14:15; Лк 22:30; Отк 19:9) 17 And he took a cup, and when he had given thanks he said, “Take this, and divide it among yourselves. (Мк 9:34; Лк 9:46) 25 And he said to them, “The kings of the Gentiles exercise lordship over them, and those in authority over them are called benefactors. And when you have turned again, strengthen your brothers.” (Пс 51:13; Йн 17:9; Йн 17:11; Йн 17:15; Йн 21:15) 33 Peter[5] said to him, “Lord, I am ready to go with you both to prison and to death.” (Йн 21:19; Д А 12:4) 34 Jesus[6] said, “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow this day, until you deny three times that you know me.” (Мт 26:33; Мк 14:29; Йн 13:37) 35 And he said to them, “When I sent you out with no moneybag or knapsack or sandals, did you lack anything?” They said, “Nothing.” (Мт 10:9; Мк 6:8; Лк 9:3; Лк 10:4) 36 He said to them, “But now let the one who has a moneybag take it, and likewise a knapsack. Nevertheless, not my will, but yours, be done.” (Мт 6:10; Мт 20:22; Евр 5:7) 43 And there appeared to him an angel from heaven, strengthening him. (Мт 4:11; Евр 1:14) 44 And being in agony he prayed more earnestly; and his sweat became like great drops of blood falling down to the ground.[7] (Лк 22:42) 45 And when he rose from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping for sorrow, 46 and he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Rise and pray that you may not enter into temptation.” (Лк 22:40) 47 While he was still speaking, there came a crowd, and the man called Judas, one of the twelve, was leading them. He drew near to Jesus to kiss him, (Мт 26:47; Мк 14:43; Лк 22:3; Йн 18:3) 48 but Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?” 49 And when those who were around him saw what would follow, they said, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” (Лк 22:38) 50 And one of them struck the servant[8] of the high priest and cut off his right ear. 51 But Jesus said, “No more of this!” And he touched his ear and healed him. 52 Then Jesus said to the chief priests and officers of the temple and elders, who had come out against him, “Have you come out as against a robber, with swords and clubs? (Лк 22:4) 53 When I was with you day after day in the temple, you did not lay hands on me. (Мт 26:3; Мт 26:69; Мк 14:66; Йн 18:16; Йн 18:25) 56 Then a servant girl, seeing him as he sat in the light and looking closely at him, said, “This man also was with him.” 57 But he denied it, saying, “Woman, I do not know him.” 58 And a little later someone else saw him and said, “You also are one of them.” But Peter said, “Man, I am not.” 59 And after an interval of about an hour still another insisted, saying, “Certainly this man also was with him, for he too is a Galilean.” (Д А 12:15) 60 But Peter said, “Man, I do not know what you are talking about.” And immediately, while he was still speaking, the rooster crowed. 61 And the Lord turned and looked at Peter. And Peter remembered the saying of the Lord, how he had said to him, “Before the rooster crows today, you will deny me three times.” (Мк 10:21; Лк 22:34; Д А 3:13) 62 And he went out and wept bitterly. 63 Now the men who were holding Jesus in custody were mocking him as they beat him. (Мт 26:67; Мк 14:65; Йн 18:22) 64 They also blindfolded him and kept asking him, “Prophesy! Who is it that struck you?” (Лк 7:39; Лк 22:63) 65 And they said many other things against him, blaspheming him. (Мт 27:39) 66 When day came, the assembly of the elders of the people gathered together, both chief priests and scribes. And they led him away to their council, and they said, (Мт 5:22; Мт 26:63; Мт 27:1; Мк 14:61; Мк 15:1; Лк 22:67; Йн 18:19; Йн 18:28; Д А 22:5) 67 “If you are the Christ, tell us.” But he said to them, “If I tell you, you will not believe, (Мт 1:17; Йн 10:24) 68 and if I ask you, you will not answer. 69 But from now on the Son of Man shall be seated at the right hand of the power of God.” (Мк 16:19; Д А 7:56; Евр 1:3) 70 So they all said, “Are you the Son of God, then?” And he said to them, “You say that I am.” (Мт 14:33; Мт 26:25; Мт 27:11; Мк 15:2; Лк 23:3) 71 Then they said, “What further testimony do we need? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips.”
