Славата Му изпълва цялата земя!4И основите на праговете се поклатиха от гласа на викащия и домът се изпълни с дим.5Тогава казах: Горко ми, защото загинах! – понеже съм човек с нечисти устни и живея между народ с нечисти устни – понеже очите ми видяха Царя, ГОСПОДА на Войнствата.6Тогава един от серафимите долетя при мен и имаше в ръката си разпален въглен, който беше взел с щипци от олтара.7И го допря до устата ми и каза: Ето, това се допря до устните ти, и беззаконието ти се отне, и грехът ти се очисти.8И чух гласа на Господа, който казваше: Кого да изпратя? И кой ще отиде за Нас? И казах: Ето ме, изпрати мен.9И каза: Иди, кажи на този народ: С уши ще чуете, но няма да разберете, и с очи ще видите, но няма да проумеете.10Направѝ да затлъстее сърцето на този народ и направѝ да натегнат ушите им, и затворѝ очите им, за да не гледат с очите си и да слушат с ушите си, и да разберат със сърцето си, и да се обърнат, и да се изцелят.11Тогава казах: Докога, Господи? И каза: Докато опустеят градовете, да няма жител, и къщите, да няма човек, и земята да запустее съвсем;12докато отдалечи ГОСПОД хората и изоставените места се умножат сред земята.13И една десета част да е още в нея, отново ще бъде опустошена; но както дървото и дъба, когато се отсекат, остава пънът им, така светият род е пънът ѝ.
1In the year that King Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon a throne, high and lifted up; and the train[1] of his robe filled the temple. For I am lost; for I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; for my eyes have seen the King, the Lord of hosts!” (Съд 13:22; 1 Цар 12:12; Ис 33:17; Ер 10:10; Лк 5:8)6Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a burning coal that he had taken with tongs from the altar.7And he touched my mouth and said: “Behold, this has touched your lips; your guilt is taken away, and your sin atoned for.” (Ер 1:9; Дан 10:16)
Isaiah’s Commission from the Lord
8And I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?” Then I said, “Here I am! Send me.” (Бит 1:26)9And he said, “Go, and say to this people: “‘Keep on hearing,[3] but do not understand; keep on seeing,[4] but do not perceive.’ (Мт 13:14; Мк 4:12; Лк 8:10; Д А 28:26; Рим 11:8)10Make the heart of this people dull,[5] and their ears heavy, and blind their eyes; lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their hearts, and turn and be healed.” (Пс 119:70; Ер 5:21; Йн 12:40)11Then I said, “How long, O Lord?” And he said: “Until cities lie waste without inhabitant, and houses without people, and the land is a desolate waste, (Пс 79:5; Пс 89:46; Ис 1:7; Ис 27:10)12and the Lord removes people far away, and the forsaken places are many in the midst of the land.13And though a tenth remain in it, it will be burned[6] again, like a terebinth or an oak, whose stump remains when it is felled.” The holy seed[7] is its stump.
