(2S 10:4; Is 7:20)2Quand le temps du siège sera révolu, tu en brûleras un tiers dans le feu au milieu de la ville. Tu prendras un second tiers et tu le frapperas de ton épée tout autour de la ville. Enfin, tu disperseras le dernier tiers au vent, et moi je les poursuivrai de mon épée[2].3Cependant, tu prélèveras une petite quantité de ces cheveux et tu les serreras dans les pans de ton manteau.4De ce reste, tu prendras encore une partie que tu jetteras dans le feu pour les brûler. La flamme qui en jaillira s’étendra à toute la communauté d’Israël.5Voici ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel: Voilà Jérusalem; je l’avais placée au milieu des nations, avec de vastes contrées autour d’elle.6Mais elle s’est révoltée contre mes commandements avec plus de perversité que les autres peuples, elle a violé mes lois plus que les pays qui l’entourent, car ses habitants ont méprisé mes commandements, et n’ont pas respecté mes lois.7C’est pourquoi le Seigneur, l’Eternel, déclare: Parce que vous avez été plus rebelles que les peuples qui vous entourent, que vous n’avez ni obéi à mes lois, ni appliqué mes commandements, que vous n’avez même pas agi[3] selon le droit des peuples qui vous entourent,8à cause de cela, moi, le Seigneur, l’Eternel, je dis: Je vais me tourner contre toi, Jérusalem. J’exécuterai au milieu de toi ma sentence sous les yeux des autres peuples.9A cause de toutes vos abominations, j’agirai contre toi comme je ne l’ai jamais fait et comme je ne le ferai plus jamais.10Ainsi, au milieu de toi, des pères dévoreront leurs propres fils et des fils mangeront leurs pères[4]; j’exécuterai mon jugement contre toi et je disperserai à tout vent ce qui restera de vous.11C’est pourquoi, aussi vrai que je suis vivant, déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel: puisque vous avez rendu mon sanctuaire impur par toutes vos idoles répugnantes et abominables, je passerai le rasoir sur vous, sans un regard de pitié, et j’agirai sans ménagement.12Un tiers de tes habitants mourra de la peste ou périra de faim dans tes murs. Un autre tiers tombera, frappé par l’épée autour de toi, et le dernier tiers, je le disperserai à tout vent, et je le poursuivrai avec l’épée.13Je donnerai libre cours à ma colère et je ferai peser mon courroux sur eux. Je leur ferai payer leur trahison, et quand j’aurai donné libre cours à ma colère, ils reconnaîtront que moi, l’Eternel, j’ai parlé, parce que je ne transige pas avec leur infidélité.14Je te réduirai à l’état de ruine, Jérusalem, et tu porteras le déshonneur parmi tous les peuples qui t’entourent ainsi qu’aux yeux de tous les gens qui passeront par là.15Tu seras dans la honte, on te couvrira de sarcasmes et tu constitueras un avertissement pour les peuples qui t’entourent, ils regarderont vers toi avec effroi quand j’aurai exécuté mes jugements contre toi dans ma colère et mon indignation, quand je t’aurai châtiée dans ma colère. Moi, l’Eternel, j’ai parlé!16Je vais décocher contre vous les flèches mauvaises et mortelles de la famine pour vous exterminer. Je rendrai cette famine encore plus implacable et je détruirai toutes vos réserves de pain.17J’enverrai contre vous, en plus de la famine, des bêtes féroces qui te raviront tes enfants; la peste et le carnage passeront au milieu de toi, et j’enverrai l’épée contre toi. (Is 7:20)2Ein Drittel sollst du mitten in der Stadt mit Feuer verbrennen, wenn die Tage der Belagerung erfüllt sind; und ein Drittel sollst du nehmen ⟨und es⟩ rings um sie her mit dem Schwert schlagen; und ein Drittel sollst du in den Wind streuen! Denn ich werde das Schwert ziehen hinter ihnen her. 5So spricht der Herr, HERR: Das ist Jerusalem! Mitten unter die Nationen habe ich es gesetzt und Länder rings um es her. (Ps 87:3)6Und es war widerspenstig gegen meine Rechtsbestimmungen, gottloser als die Nationen, und gegen meine Ordnungen, mehr als die Länder, die rings um es her sind. Denn meine Rechtsbestimmungen haben sie verworfen, und in meinen Ordnungen haben sie nicht gelebt[2]. (Ex 16:28; 2R 21:9; Ne 9:34; Ez 11:12; Ez 16:47; Da 9:5)7Darum, so spricht der Herr, HERR: Weil ihr getobt habt[3] mehr als die Nationen, die rings um euch her sind, in meinen Ordnungen nicht gelebt[4] und meine Rechtsbestimmungen nicht gehalten habt, ja, ⟨selbst⟩ nach den Rechtsbestimmungen der Nationen, die rings um euch her sind, nicht gehandelt habt,8darum, so spricht der Herr, HERR: Siehe, ⟨jetzt⟩ will auch ich gegen dich sein und will Strafgerichte in deiner Mitte üben vor den Augen der Nationen. 1‘Son of man, get a sharp sword. Use it as a barber’s razor. Shave your head and beard with it. Then get a set of scales and weigh the hair. Separate it into three piles.2Burn a third of the hair inside the city. Do this when you stop attacking the model of Jerusalem. Next, get another third of the hair. Strike it with a sword all around the city. Then scatter the last third to the winds. That is because I will chase the people with a sword that is ready to strike them down.3But save a few hairs. Tuck them away in the clothes you are wearing.4Next, get a few more hairs. Throw them into the fire. Burn them up. The fire will spread to all the people of Israel.’5The LORD and King says, ‘What you do with the hair stands for what I will do with Jerusalem’s people. I have placed that city in the centre of the nations. Countries are all around it.6But its people are sinful. They have refused to obey my laws and rules. They have turned their backs on my laws. They have not followed my rules. These people are worse than the nations and countries around them.’7The LORD and King continues, ‘You people have been worse than the nations around you. You have not lived by my rules or kept my laws. You have not even lived up to the standards of the nations around you.’8The LORD and King continues, ‘Jerusalem, I myself am against you. I will punish you in the sight of the nations.9I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again. That is because you worship statues of gods. I hate them.10So parents will eat their own children inside the city. And children will eat their parents. I will punish you. And I will scatter to the winds anyone who is left alive.11You have made my temple “unclean”. You have set up statues of all your evil gods. You have done other things I hate. So I will cut you off just like Ezekiel cut off his hair. I will not spare you or feel sorry for you. And that is just as sure as I am alive,’ announces the LORD and King.12A third of your people will die of the plague inside your walls. Or they will die of hunger there. Another third will be killed by swords outside your walls. And I will scatter the last third of your people to the winds. I will chase them with a sword that is ready to strike them down.13‘Then I will not be angry anymore. My great anger against them will die down. And I will be satisfied. Then they will know that I have spoken with strong feelings. And my great anger towards them will come to an end. I am the LORD.14‘I will destroy you. I will bring shame on you in the sight of the nations around you. All those who pass by will see it.15You will be put to shame. The nations will make fun of you. You will serve as a warning to others. They will be shocked when they see you. So I will punish you because I am very angry with you. You will feel the sting of my warning. I have spoken. I am the LORD.16I will shoot at you with my deadly, destroying arrows of hunger. I will shoot to kill. I will bring more and more hunger on you. I will cut off your food supply.17I will send hunger and wild animals against you. They will destroy all your children. Plague and murder will sweep over you. And I will send swords to kill you. I have spoken. I am the LORD.’
