1L’Eternel m’adressa la parole en ces termes:2Fils d’homme, tu habites au milieu d’une communauté rebelle: ils ont des yeux pour voir, mais ils ne voient pas; ils ont des oreilles pour entendre, mais ils n’entendent pas, car ce sont des rebelles[1]. (Is 6:9; Jr 5:21; Mc 8:18)3Fils d’homme, fais tes bagages comme pour partir en déportation, puis pars comme en déportation en plein jour sous leurs yeux. Que tout le monde te voie partir en exil de l’endroit où tu habites vers un autre lieu. Peut-être comprendront-ils qu’ils sont une communauté rebelle.4Dépose ton baluchon d’exilé dehors, en plein jour, pour que tout le monde le voie. Le soir, tu sortiras sous leurs yeux, comme pour un départ en exil.5Sous leurs yeux, tu creuseras un trou dans la muraille de la ville, et tu feras passer ton ballot par là.6Sous leurs yeux, tu le chargeras sur ton épaule et tu l’emporteras dans la nuit noire; tu te cacheras le visage en sorte que tu ne puisses pas voir le pays. Car je fais de toi un signe pour la communauté d’Israël.7Je fis ce qui m’avait été ordonné: je sortis en plein jour mes affaires arrangées comme un bagage d’exilé; et le soir, je creusai, à la main, un trou dans le mur, puis, dans la nuit noire, je les fis passer par là et je les chargeai sur l’épaule sous leurs yeux.8Le lendemain matin, l’Eternel m’adressa la parole en ces termes:9Fils d’homme, les Israélites, ces gens rebelles, ne t’ont-ils pas demandé: « Que fais-tu? »10Réponds-leur: « Voici ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel: Ce message concerne le prince qui est à Jérusalem et toute la communauté israélite qui se trouve à l’intérieur de cette ville. »11Dis-leur: « Je suis pour vous un signe », car il leur sera fait selon ce que j’ai fait: ils iront en déportation, ils iront en exil.12Le prince qui se trouve au milieu d’eux mettra son baluchon, en pleine nuit, sur son épaule et quittera la ville par un trou dans le mur que l’on aura percé pour le faire sortir. Il se cachera le visage pour qu’il ne voie pas le pays.13J’étendrai mon filet sur lui et il sera pris dans mon piège, je le ferai partir pour Babylone dans le pays des Chaldéens, qu’il ne verra pas de ses yeux, et c’est là qu’il mourra[2]. (2R 25:4; Jr 39:4; Jr 52:7)14Je disperserai à tout vent tous les gens de son entourage, son personnel et tous ses bataillons, et je les poursuivrai avec l’épée.15Et ils reconnaîtront que je suis l’Eternel quand je les aurai dispersés au milieu de peuples étrangers, quand je les aurai répandus dans différents pays.16Mais je conserverai un petit nombre d’entre eux qui échapperont à l’épée, à la famine et à la peste, pour qu’ils racontent toutes leurs abominations au milieu des peuples chez qui ils iront. Et l’on reconnaîtra que je suis l’Eternel.17L’Eternel m’adressa la parole et me dit:18Fils d’homme, tu mangeras ton pain en tremblant, et tu boiras ton eau au milieu de l’angoisse et de l’agitation.19Tu diras au peuple du pays: « Habitants de Jérusalem, voici ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel, contre le pays d’Israël: Ils mangeront leur pain au milieu de l’angoisse, et ils boiront leur eau dans la désolation, parce que le pays va être dévasté, privé de tous ses biens, à cause des actes de violence de tous ceux qui l’habitent.20Les villes peuplées seront détruites, le pays sera dévasté, et vous reconnaîtrez que je suis l’Eternel. »
Vraie et fausse prophétie
21L’Eternel m’adressa la parole et me dit:22Fils d’homme, quel est donc le dicton qui a cours parmi vous au sujet du pays d’Israël: « Le temps se fait bien long et aucune vision ne s’accomplit »?23C’est pourquoi dis-leur donc: « Voici comment vous parle le Seigneur, l’Eternel: Je ferai taire ce dicton et il n’aura plus jamais cours en Israël. » Dis-leur donc: « Au contraire, voici: le temps s’approche où toutes les visions se réaliseront.24Car il n’y aura plus de vision mensongère, ni de prédiction de complaisance, au milieu d’Israël.25Car moi, l’Eternel, je dirai ce que j’ai à dire, et puis cela s’accomplira sans être encore différé. C’est de votre vivant, communauté rebelle, que je prononcerai cette parole, et que je l’accomplirai. C’est là ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel. »26L’Eternel m’adressa la parole et me dit:27Fils d’homme, la communauté d’Israël déclare à ton sujet: « La vision de cet homme concerne des jours très lointains, et ce qu’il prophétise est pour beaucoup plus tard. »28C’est pourquoi dis-leur donc: « Voici ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel: Aucune des paroles que, moi, j’ai prononcées ne tardera à s’accomplir. C’est là ce que déclare le Seigneur, l’Eternel. »
Zwei Zeichenhandlungen: Das Gericht der Verschleppung und die Verzweiflung der Belagerten
1Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir so:2Menschensohn, du wohnst mitten in dem widerspenstigen Haus[1], ⟨bei solchen,⟩ die Augen haben zu sehen und ⟨doch⟩ nicht sehen, die Ohren haben zu hören und ⟨doch⟩ nicht hören; denn ein widerspenstiges Haus[2] sind sie. (Dt 29:3; Is 44:18; Jr 5:21; Jr 7:26; Ez 3:26; Mc 8:18; Rm 11:10)3Und du, Menschensohn, mach dir Gepäck zur Verbannung ⟨zurecht⟩ und zieh bei Tage vor ihren Augen in die Verbannung aus! Und du sollst vor ihren Augen von deinem Ort zu einem anderen Ort in die Verbannung ausziehen! Vielleicht sehen sie es; denn ein widerspenstiges Haus[3] sind sie. (Jr 7:26; Jr 10:17; Jr 26:3; Jr 27:2; Ez 3:26; Ez 4:1; 2Tm 2:25)4Und trage dein Gepäck wie Gepäck zur Verbannung bei Tage vor ihren Augen hinaus! Und du, ziehe am Abend vor ihren Augen aus, wie man auszieht, um in die Verbannung zu gehen[4]!5Vor ihren Augen durchbrich dir die Mauer, und trage ⟨dein Gepäck⟩ dadurch hinaus!6Vor ihren Augen nimm es auf die Schulter, in Finsternis trage es hinaus! Du sollst dein Gesicht verhüllen, damit du das Land nicht siehst! Denn zu einem Wahrzeichen habe ich dich für das Haus Israel gemacht. – (Ez 4:3; Za 3:8)7Da tat ich so, wie mir befohlen war. Mein Gepäck trug ich wie Gepäck zur Verbannung bei Tage hinaus, und am Abend durchbrach ich mir die Mauer mit der Hand. In Finsternis trug ich es hinaus, ich nahm es vor ihren Augen auf die Schulter. –8Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir am Morgen:9Menschensohn, hat nicht das Haus Israel, das widerspenstige Haus[5], zu dir gesagt: Was tust du? (Ez 17:12; Ez 24:19)10Sprich zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr, HERR: Den Fürsten in Jerusalem ⟨betrifft⟩ dieser Ausspruch und das ganze Haus Israel, in dessen Mitte sie sind[6]. (Ez 21:30)11Sprich: Ich bin ein Wahrzeichen für euch[7]. Wie ich getan habe, so soll ihnen getan werden: in die Verbannung, in die Gefangenschaft werden sie gehen. (Ez 5:2; Ez 5:10; Ez 17:21)15Und sie werden erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin, wenn ich sie unter die Nationen versprenge und sie in die Länder zerstreue. (Ez 5:10)16Und ich werde von ihnen einige Leute übrig lassen vom Schwert, vom Hunger und von der Pest, damit sie alle ihre Gräuel erzählen unter den Nationen, zu denen sie kommen. Dann werden sie erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. (Ps 59:12; Ez 6:8)17Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir so:18Menschensohn, dein Brot sollst du mit Beben essen und dein Wasser mit Zittern und in Angst trinken! (Ez 4:10)19Und du sollst zum Volk des Landes sagen: So spricht der Herr, HERR, von den Bewohnern Jerusalems im Land Israel: Ihr Brot werden sie in Angst essen und ihr Wasser mit Entsetzen trinken, weil ihr Land[9] öde daliegt, ohne seine Fülle, wegen der Gewalttat all derer, die in ihm wohnen. (Ps 107:34; Jr 25:11; Ez 7:23; Mi 7:13; Za 7:14)20Und die bewohnten Städte werden in Trümmern liegen und das Land wird eine Einöde werden. Dann werdet ihr erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. (Lv 26:31; Jr 23:33)
Drohworte an die Verächter von Weissagungen
21Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir so:22Menschensohn, was ist das für ein Sprichwort, das ihr im Land Israel habt, indem ihr sagt: »Die Tage ziehen sich in die Länge, und jede Vision geht verloren«? (2P 3:4)23Darum sage zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr, HERR: Ich will diesem Sprichwort ein Ende machen, und man soll es nicht mehr als Sprichwort gebrauchen in Israel. Sondern rede zu ihnen: Nahe herbeigekommen sind die Tage und das Wort einer jeden Vision[10]. (Ez 7:6; Jl 2:1)24Denn es wird nicht länger irgendeine nichtige Vision oder irgendeine schmeichlerische Wahrsagung geben inmitten des Hauses Israel. (Ez 13:23)25Denn ich, der HERR, ich rede; das Wort, das ich rede, wird auch geschehen, es wird sich nicht länger hinziehen. Denn in euren Tagen, widerspenstiges Haus[11], rede ich ein Wort und tue es auch, spricht der Herr, HERR[12]. (Jr 1:11; Ez 7:13; Ap 10:6)26Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir so:27Menschensohn, siehe, das Haus Israel sagt: Die Vision, die der schaut, ⟨geht⟩ auf viel ⟨spätere⟩ Tage ⟨hinaus⟩; und auf ferne Zeiten hin weissagt er. (Am 6:3)28Darum sage zu ihnen: So spricht der Herr, HERR: Es wird sich nicht länger irgendeines meiner Worte hinziehen; das Wort, das ich rede, wird auch geschehen, spricht der Herr, HERR[13]. 1A message from the LORD came to me. The LORD said,2‘Son of man, you are living among people who refuse to obey me. They have eyes that can see. But they do not really see. They have ears that can hear. But they do not really hear. They refuse to obey me.3‘Son of man, pack your belongings as if you were going on a long trip. Leave in the daytime. Let the people see you. Start out from where you are. Go to another place. Perhaps they will understand the meaning of what you are doing. But they will still refuse to obey me.4Bring out your belongings packed for a long trip. Do this during the daytime. Let the people see you. Then in the evening, pretend you are being forced to leave home. Let the people see you.5While the people are watching, dig through the mud bricks of your house. Then take your belongings out through the hole in the wall.6Put them on your shoulder. Carry them out at sunset. Let the people see you. Cover your face so you can’t see the land. All of that will show the Israelites what is going to happen to them.’7So I did just as he commanded me. During the day I brought out my things as if I were going on a long trip. In the evening I dug through the wall of my house with my hands. At sunset I took my belongings out. I put them on my shoulders. The people watched what I was doing.8In the morning a message from the LORD came to me. The LORD said,9‘Son of man, didn’t the Israelites ask you, “What are you doing?” They always refuse to obey me.10‘Tell them, “The LORD and King says, ‘This prophecy is about Zedekiah, the prince in Jerusalem. It is also about all the Israelites who still live there.’ ”11Tell them, “The things I’ve done are a picture of what’s going to happen to you. ‘ “So what I’ve done will happen to you. You will be forced to leave home. You will be taken to Babylon as prisoners.”12‘The prince among them will put his things on his shoulder and leave. He will do this at sunset. Someone will dig a hole in the city wall for him to go through. He will cover his face so he can’t see the land.13I will spread out my net to catch him. He will be caught in my trap. I will bring him to Babylon. It is the land where the Chaldeans live. But he will not see it. He will die there.14I will scatter to the winds all those around him. I will scatter his officials and all his troops. And I will chase them with a sword that is ready to strike them down.15‘They will know that I am the LORD when I scatter them among the nations. I will send them to other countries.16But I will spare a few of them. I will save them from war, hunger and plague. In those countries they will admit they have done all kinds of evil things. I hate those things. They will know that I am the LORD.’17A message from the LORD came to me. The LORD said,18‘Son of man, tremble with fear as you eat your food. Tremble as you drink your water.19Speak to the people of the land. Say to them, “Here is what the LORD and King says. He says this about those who live in Jerusalem and Israel. ‘They will be worried as they eat their food. They will not have any hope as they drink their water. Their land will be stripped of everything in it because all those who live there are harming one another.20The towns where people live will be completely destroyed. The land will become a dry and empty desert. Then you will know that I am the LORD.’ ” ’
The Lord’s judgment will come soon
21A message from the LORD came to me. The LORD said,22‘Son of man, you have a proverb in the land of Israel. It says, “The days go by, and not even one vision comes true.”23Tell them, “The LORD and King says, ‘I am going to put an end to this proverb. They will not use that saying in Israel anymore.’ ” Tell them, “The days are coming soon when every vision will come true.24There will be no more false visions. People will no longer use magic to find out whether good things are going to happen in Israel.25I am the LORD. So I will say what I want to. And it will come true when I want it to. In your days I will do everything I say I will. But you people always refuse to obey me,” announces the LORD and King.’26A message from the LORD came to me. The LORD said,27‘Son of man, the Israelites are saying, “The vision Ezekiel sees won’t come true for many years. He is prophesying about a time that is a long way off.”28‘So tell them, “The LORD and King says, ‘Everything I say will come true. It will happen when I want it to,’ announces the LORD and King.” ’
