1Toto praví Hospodin: Nebe je můj trůn, zemi mám u nohou jako podnožku. Kde mi to chcete stavět dům? Kde má být místo, kde bych spočinul?[1]2Vždyť jsem to všechno svou rukou učinil, a tak všechno vzniklo, praví Hospodin. Všímám si ale ztrápených a v duchu zkroušených, kteří se chvějí před slovem mým.3Kdo poráží býka, zabíjí člověka, kdo obětuje beránka, rdousí psa, kdo nese obětní dar, přináší krev prasat, kdo pálí kadidlo, modlu uctívá![2] Oni si sami zvolili své cesty, ve svých ohavnostech si z duše libují,4a tak pro ně zvolím kruté zacházení, přivedu na ně, čeho se strachují! Volal jsem totiž, ale neodpovídali, mluvil jsem, ale neposlouchali, ale páchali, co je zlé v mých očích; zvolili si, co se mi nelíbí.5Slyšte slovo Hospodinovo, vy, kdo se před jeho slovem chvějete: Vaši bratři, kteří vás nenávidí, kteří vás pro mé jméno zavrhli, říkají: „Ať už se Hospodin oslaví, ať vidíme to vaše veselí!“[3] – Takoví se však hanby dočkají.6Z města je slyšet hluk! Hlas je slyšet z chrámu! Hlas Hospodinův, který svým nepřátelům nese odplatu!
Rodící Jeruzalém
7Porodila dřív, než na ni přišly bolesti; dříve než zasténala, narodil se jí syn!8Kdo kdy slyšel co takového? Kdo kdy viděl co podobného? Vznikne snad země v jednom dni? Narodí se národ v jeden okamžik? Jakmile však Dcera sionská rodit začala, hned svoje děti na svět přivedla!9Copak já, který otevírám lůno, nepůsobím i porod? praví Hospodin. Copak já, který vedu k porodu, lůno uzavřu? praví tvůj Bůh.10S Dcerou jeruzalémskou se veselte, všichni, kdo ji milujete, jásejte! Radujte se, radujte spolu s ní, všichni, kdo jste nad ní truchlili!11Budete sát do sytosti z prsů její útěchy, zalykat se rozkoší v jejím kyprém náručí!12Neboť toto praví Hospodin: Hle – jako řekou zaplavím ji pokojem a slávou národů jako rozvodněným potokem. Budete se kojit v jejím náručí, na jejím klíně budete laskáni.13Jako když matka své dítě konejší, tak já vás potěším – v Jeruzalémě dojdete útěchy.14Až to uvidíte, vaše srdce zajásá a celí rozkvetete jako bylina. Hospodinovým služebníkům bude zjevná jeho ruka, na své nepřátele se však rozhněvá.
Hospodin přichází
15Hle – Hospodin přichází s ohněm, jeho vozy jsou jako vichřice! V zuřivosti vylije svůj hněv, své hrozby v plamenech.16Hospodin se bude soudit ohněm, svým mečem s každým člověkem; Hospodin mnohé pobije.17Ti, kdo se posvěcují a očišťují pro zahrady[4] po vzoru toho, kdo je vprostřed nich, ti, kdo jedí maso prasat, krys a jiné havěti, zahynou spolu s ním, praví Hospodin.18Já však znám[5] jejich skutky i jejich smýšlení, a proto přijdu, abych shromáždil všechny národy a jazyky; přijdou a moji slávu uvidí!19Vložím na ně znamení a ty, kteří vyváznou, pošlu mezi národy – do Taršiše, Libye[6] a Lydie, k těm slavným lučištníkům, do Tubalu a Řecka, ke vzdáleným ostrovům, kde o mně ještě nikdy neslyšeli a moji slávu nikdy neviděli. Budou zvěstovat mou slávu mezi národy!20Na koních, vozech a povozech, na mezcích a velbloudech pak přivedou všechny vaše bratry ze všech národů jako dar Hospodinu na moji svatou horu do Jeruzaléma, praví Hospodin. Přivedou je tak, jako když synové Izraele přinášejí svůj dar do Hospodinova domu v čistých nádobách.21A i z nich některé přijmu za kněží a levity, praví Hospodin.22Jako to nové nebe a nová zem, které učiním,[7] zůstanou přede mnou, praví Hospodin, tak zůstane i vaše jméno a vaši potomci.23Od novoluní do novoluní, od soboty do soboty přicházet budou všichni lidé, aby se mi klaněli, praví Hospodin.24Vyjdou a spatří mrtvoly těch, kdo se proti mně vzbouřili. Jejich červ totiž nehyne a jejich oheň nehasne – všem lidem budou k výstraze!
1Thus says the Lord: “Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool; what is the house that you would build for me, and what is the place of my rest? (1Kr 8,27; Mt 5,34; Sk 7,49; Sk 17,24)2All these things my hand has made, and so all these things came to be, declares the Lord. But this is the one to whom I will look: he who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word. (1Pa 29,14; Ž 34,18; Iz 57,15)3“He who slaughters an ox is like one who kills a man; he who sacrifices a lamb, like one who breaks a dog’s neck; he who presents a grain offering, like one who offers pig’s blood; he who makes a memorial offering of frankincense, like one who blesses an idol. These have chosen their own ways, and their soul delights in their abominations; (Iz 1,11; Iz 65,4; Jr 7,24)4I also will choose harsh treatment for them and bring their fears upon them, because when I called, no one answered, when I spoke, they did not listen; but they did what was evil in my eyes and chose that in which I did not delight.” (Iz 30,16; Iz 51,12; Iz 65,12; Jr 7,31)5Hear the word of the Lord, you who tremble at his word: “Your brothers who hate you and cast you out for my name’s sake have said, ‘Let the Lord be glorified, that we may see your joy’; but it is they who shall be put to shame. (Iz 5,19)6“The sound of an uproar from the city! A sound from the temple! The sound of the Lord, rendering recompense to his enemies! (Iz 63,4; Iz 65,6)
Rejoice with Jerusalem
7“Before she was in labor she gave birth; before her pain came upon her she delivered a son. (Iz 13,8)8Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought forth in one moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor she brought forth her children. (Iz 66,7)9Shall I bring to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth?” says the Lord; “shall I, who cause to bring forth, shut the womb?” says your God.10“Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you who love her; rejoice with her in joy, all you who mourn over her; (Iz 65,19)11that you may nurse and be satisfied from her consoling breast; that you may drink deeply with delight from her glorious abundance.”[1]12For thus says the Lord: “Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream; and you shall nurse, you shall be carried upon her hip, and bounced upon her knees. (Iz 48,18; Iz 60,16)13As one whom his mother comforts, so I will comfort you; you shall be comforted in Jerusalem. (Iz 35,10; Iz 51,12)14You shall see, and your heart shall rejoice; your bones shall flourish like the grass; and the hand of the Lord shall be known to his servants, and he shall show his indignation against his enemies. (Ezd 8,22; Ezd 8,31; Iz 58,11)
Final Judgment and Glory of the Lord
15“For behold, the Lord will come in fire, and his chariots like the whirlwind, to render his anger in fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. (Ž 68,17; Iz 33,14; Mal 3,1; 2Te 1,7)16For by fire will the Lord enter into judgment, and by his sword, with all flesh; and those slain by the Lord shall be many. (Ž 97,3; Jl 3,2)17“Those who sanctify and purify themselves to go into the gardens, following one in the midst, eating pig’s flesh and the abomination and mice, shall come to an end together, declares the Lord. (Iz 65,3; Iz 65,4; Iz 65,5)18“For I know[2] their works and their thoughts, and the time is coming[3] to gather all nations and tongues. And they shall come and shall see my glory, (Iz 2,2; Za 14,16)19and I will set a sign among them. And from them I will send survivors to the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, who draw the bow, to Tubal and Javan, to the coastlands far away, that have not heard my fame or seen my glory. And they shall declare my glory among the nations. (Gn 10,2; Gn 10,5; 1Kr 10,22; Iz 45,20; Jr 46,9; Ez 27,10; Ez 27,13; Ř 15,20)20And they shall bring all your brothers from all the nations as an offering to the Lord, on horses and in chariots and in litters and on mules and on dromedaries, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, says the Lord, just as the Israelites bring their grain offering in a clean vessel to the house of the Lord. (Iz 14,2; Iz 49,22; Ř 15,16)21And some of them also I will take for priests and for Levites, says the Lord. (Ex 19,6; Iz 61,6; 1P 2,9; Zj 1,6)22“For as the new heavens and the new earth that I make shall remain before me, says the Lord, so shall your offspring and your name remain. (Ž 89,29; Iz 53,10; Iz 65,17)23From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh shall come to worship before me, declares the Lord. (Ž 86,9; Za 14,16)24“And they shall go out and look on the dead bodies of the men who have rebelled against me. For their worm shall not die, their fire shall not be quenched, and they shall be an abhorrence to all flesh.” (Mk 9,48; Zj 21,8)
