Bůh stan postavil slunci v nebesích6a ono jak ženich vychází z komnaty, jak hrdina dychtící na cestu vyrazit.7Vychází na jednom konci nebe, k druhému konci míří obloukem, před jeho žárem se nikdo neskryje.8Hospodinův zákon je dokonalý, život do duše navrací. Hospodinova svědectví jsou věrná, i prosté činí moudrými.9Hospodinova pravidla jsou poctivá, srdce naplňují radostí. Hospodinovo přikázání je ryzí, oči člověku rozzáří.10Úcta k Hospodinu je čistá, obstojí navěky. Hospodinova nařízení jsou pravá, plná spravedlnosti,11nad zlato vzácnější, nad zlato nejčistší, nad med nejsladší, nad med z pláství kanoucí.12Poučením jsou pro tvého služebníka, v jejich dodržování je hojná odplata.13Kdo ale rozpozná vlastní poblouzení? Od skrytých hříchů mě očisti!14Zbav svého služebníka i těch úmyslných, nikdy ať nade mnou nepanují! Pak budu bezúhonný a nevinný, své veliké viny zbavený.15Slova v mých ústech, v mém srdci myšlení kéž se ti, Hospodine, zalíbí – skálo má, můj Vykupiteli!
