Nicodemus.AI is an advanced chatbot based on artificial intelligence (AI) that answers your questions about the Bible. The chatbot provides you with background information on Bible texts, gives you practical tips on how to apply biblical principles in everyday life or asks questions for further reflection and discovery of the Bible. Thanks to the integration on ERF Bibleserver, it can draw on various theological sources when answering questions.
Nicodemus.AI is only available to registered users. You can start the chatbot via the robot icon at the bottom left of every page. Alternatively, you can open it in the sidebar (mobile from the bottom). In this case, the chatbot is automatically given the Bible context for answering questions about the selected Bible text.
By using Nicodemus.AI, you agree to the terms of use for the chatbot. Please note that the chatbot can make mistakes. Like all current generative AI models, it can come to incorrect conclusions and reproduce false information. Please take this into account when reading and processing the answers. We continuously optimize the chatbot to minimize these errors and support you in checking the content. For example, we link biblical passages or provide sources where we are aware of them. A chat history can contain up to a maximum of 10 user messages. Longer chats are not possible.
Tip
It is generally advisable to start a new chat for each new topic, as the chatbot always refers to the entire chat history when answering.
In the desktop version, the chat window can be moved around the website using drag'n'drop so that the Bible text or other information is visible in the background at all times.
You can find further settings for Nicodemus.AI via the menu in the chat window (3 dots). For example, you can change the automatically assigned title and delete the chat. You also have the option of reporting the chat if it contains incorrect information. This helps us to further develop the feature. You can also access the overview of all personal chats or start a new chat directly.
Use is limited per day and user. The progress of the available daily quota is displayed as an orange bar at the top of the chat window. If the quota is used up on one day, no further messages are possible. New conversations with Nicodemus.AI can then be held on the following day.
The main menu takes you to the overview of all your own chats. You can open these and continue conversations. You can also delete existing chats.
The feature is starting in a beta phase. This means that not all users will have access to this feature at the beginning and that we will continue to optimize it. Activation takes place in the order in which they are received. It depends on the demand when this will happen. You will receive an e-mail as soon as you have been activated. At the end of the beta phase, the feature will be automatically activated for all registered users.
