Proverbs 30:9

English Standard Version

9 lest I be full and deny you and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor and steal and profane the name of my God. (Ex 5:2; Ex 20:7; De 8:12; De 31:20; De 32:15; Jos 24:27; Ne 9:25; Job 21:14; Pr 30:22)

New International Version

9 Otherwise, I may have too much and disown you and say, “Who is the Lord?” Or I may become poor and steal, and so dishonour the name of my God.

New International Reader’s Version

9 If you don’t, I might have too much. Then I might say I don’t know you. I might say, “Who is the LORD?” Or I might become poor and steal. Then I would bring shame to the name of my God.

King James Version

9 Lest I be full, and deny thee , and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain .
