18 Discipline your son, for there is hope; do not set your heart on putting him to death. (De 21:18; Pr 13:24; Pr 23:13)

18 Discipline your children, for in that there is hope; do not be a willing party to their death.

18 Train your children, because then there is hope. Don’t do anything to bring about their deaths.
