Matthew 2:1

English Standard Version

1 Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men[1] from the east came to Jerusalem, (Ge 25:6; 1Ki 4:30; Lu 1:5; Lu 2:4; Lu 2:15; Joh 7:42) 

New International Version

1 After Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the time of King Herod, Magi[1] from the east came to Jerusalem 

New International Reader’s Version

1 Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea. This happened while Herod was king of Judea. After Jesus’ birth, Wise Men from the east came to Jerusalem.
