Matthew 13:21

21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures for a while, and when tribulation or persecution arises on account of the word, immediately he falls away.[1] (Ho 6:4; Mt 11:6; Ga 1:6; Ga 5:7)

21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away.
