4 Jonah began to go into the city, going a day’s journey. And he called out, “Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!” 

New International Version

4 Jonah began by going a day’s journey into the city, proclaiming, ‘Forty more days and Nineveh will be overthrown.’ 

New International Reader’s Version

4 Jonah began by going one whole day into the city. As he went, he announced, ‘In 40 days Nineveh will be destroyed.’ 

King James Version

4 And Jonah began to enter into the city a day' journey, and he cried, and said, Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown.
