John 9:22

English Standard Version

22 (His parents said these things because they feared the Jews, for the Jews had already agreed that if anyone should confess Jesus[1] to be Christ, he was to be put out of the synagogue.) (Joh 7:13; Joh 7:45; Joh 12:42; Joh 16:2; Ro 10:9)

New Int. Readers Version

22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews. The Jews had already decided that anyone who said Jesus was the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.

King James Version

22 These words spake his parents, because they feared the Jews: for the Jews had agreed already, that if any man did confess that he was Christ, he should be put out of the synagogue.
