Jeremiah 48:1

1 Concerning Moab. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Woe to Nebo, for it is laid waste! Kiriathaim is put to shame, it is taken; the fortress is put to shame and broken down; (Nu32:3; Nu32:37; Jos13:19; 2Ki24:2; Jer25:21; Jer48:20; Jer48:22; Jer48:23; Jer48:39; Eze25:8; Eze25:9; Am2:1; Zep2:8)

1 Concerning Moab: This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: “Woe to Nebo, for it will be ruined. Kiriathaim will be disgraced and captured; the stronghold[1] will be disgraced and shattered.

1 Here is what the Lord says about Moab. The Lord who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says, “How terrible it will be for Nebo! It will be destroyed. Kiriathaim will be captured. It will be put to shame. Its fort will be broken down. It will be put to shame.
