27 Was not Israel a derision to you? Was he found among thieves, that whenever you spoke of him you wagged your head? (Ps 64:8; Jer 2:26; La 2:15; Eze 25:8; Zep 2:8; Mt 27:39)

27 Was not Israel the object of your ridicule? Was she caught among thieves, that you shake your head in scorn whenever you speak of her?

27 Moab, you laughed at Israel, didn’t you? Were Israel’s people caught among robbers? Is that why you shake your head at them? Is that why you make fun of them every time you talk about them?

27 For was not Israel a derision unto thee? was he found among thieves? for since thou spakest of him, thou skippedst for joy.
