Jeremiah 48:26

English Standard Version

26 “Make him drunk, because he magnified himself against the Lord, so that Moab shall wallow in his vomit, and he too shall be held in derision. (Isa 19:14; Jer 25:27; Jer 48:39; Jer 48:42; Jer 51:39) 

New International Version

26 ‘Make her drunk, for she has defied the Lord. Let Moab wallow in her vomit; let her be an object of ridicule. 

New International Reader’s Version

26 ‘Moab’s people think they are better than I am. So let their enemies make them drunk. Let the people get ill and throw up. Let them roll around in the mess they have made. Let people laugh at them. 

King James Version
