Jeremiah 48:1

1 Concerning Moab. Thus says the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel: “Woe to Nebo, for it is laid waste! Kiriathaim is put to shame, it is taken; the fortress is put to shame and broken down; (Nu 32:3; Nu 32:37; Jos 13:19; 2Ki 24:2; Jer 25:21; Jer 48:20; Jer 48:22; Jer 48:23; Jer 48:39; Eze 25:8; Eze 25:9; Am 2:1; Zep 2:8)

New International Version

1 Concerning Moab: This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Woe to Nebo, for it will be ruined. Kiriathaim will be disgraced and captured; the stronghold[1] will be disgraced and shattered.

New International Reader’s Version

1 Here is what the LORD says about Moab. The LORD who rules over all is the God of Israel. He says, ‘How terrible it will be for the city of Nebo! It will be destroyed. Kiriathaim will be captured. It will be put to shame. Its fort will be broken down. It will be put to shame.

1 Against Moab thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Woe unto Nebo! for it is spoiled: Kiriathaim is confounded and taken: Misgab is confounded and dismayed.
