Jeremiah 23:10

English Standard Version

10 For the land is full of adulterers; because of the curse the land mourns, and the pastures of the wilderness are dried up. Their course is evil, and their might is not right. (Ps 10:7; Ps 59:12; Ps 107:34; Jer 4:28; Jer 5:7; Jer 9:2; Jer 9:10; Jer 12:4; Jer 22:17; Ho 4:2)

New International Version

10 The land is full of adulterers; because of the curse[1] the land lies parched and the pastures in the wilderness are withered. The prophets follow an evil course and use their power unjustly.

New International Reader’s Version

10 The land is full of people who aren’t faithful to the LORD. Now the land is under his curse. And that’s why it is thirsty for water. That’s why the desert grasslands are dry. The prophets are leading sinful lives. They don’t use their power in the right way.

King James Version

10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right.
