Jeremiah 14:14

English Standard Version

14 And the Lord said to me: “The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I did not send them, nor did I command them or speak to them. They are prophesying to you a lying vision, worthless divination, and the deceit of their own minds. (De 18:20; Jer 5:31; Jer 23:21; Jer 23:26; Jer 27:9; Jer 27:15; Jer 29:8; Eze 13:6; Mt 7:15; Mr 13:22) 

New International Version

14 Then the Lord said to me, ‘The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them or spoken to them. They are prophesying to you false visions, divinations, idolatries[1] and the delusions of their own minds. 

New International Reader’s Version

14 Then the LORD said to me, ‘The prophets are prophesying lies in my name. I have not sent them or appointed them. I have not even spoken to them. Everything they tell you about their visions or secret knowledge is a lie. They pretend to bring you messages from other gods. They try to get you to believe their own mistaken ideas. 

King James Version

14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.
