English Standard Version

2 For you have made the city a heap, the fortified city a ruin; the foreigners’ palace is a city no more; it will never be rebuilt. (Isa 17:1; Jer 51:37) 

New International Version

2 You have made the city a heap of rubble, the fortified town a ruin, the foreigners’ stronghold a city no more; it will never be rebuilt. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 You have turned cities into piles of rubble. You have pulled down the high walls that were around them. You have destroyed our enemies’ forts. They will never be rebuilt. 

King James Version

2 For thou hast made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built.
