16 Then Cain went away from the presence of the Lord and settled in the land of Nod,[1] east of Eden. 

New International Version

16 So Cain went out from the Lord’s presence and lived in the land of Nod,[1] east of Eden. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 So Cain went away from the LORD. He lived in the land of Nod. It was east of Eden. 

King James Version
