Genesis 3:24

English Standard Version

24 He drove out the man, and at the east of the garden of Eden he placed the cherubim and a flaming sword that turned every way to guard the way to the tree of life. (Ex 25:18; Ps 18:10; Ps 104:4; Eze 28:11; Heb 1:7)

New International Version

24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side[1] of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing to and fro to guard the way to the tree of life.

New International Reader’s Version

24 The LORD God drove him out and then placed angels on the east side of the garden. He also placed there a flaming sword that flashed to and fro. The angels and the sword guarded the way to the tree of life.

King James Version

24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
