Acts 23:6

English Standard Version

6 Now when Paul perceived that one part were Sadducees and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, “Brothers, I am a Pharisee, a son of Pharisees. New International Version

6 Then Paul, knowing that some of them were Sadducees and the others Pharisees, called out in the Sanhedrin, ‘My brothers, I am a Pharisee, descended from Pharisees. I stand on trial because of the hope of the resurrection of the dead.’

New International Reader’s Version

6 Paul knew that some of them were Sadducees and the others were Pharisees. So he called out to the members of the Sanhedrin. ‘My brothers’, he said, ‘I am a Pharisee. I come from a family of Pharisees. I believe that people will rise from the dead. That’s why I am on trial.’

King James Version

6 But when Paul perceived that the one part were Sadducees, and the other Pharisees, he cried out in the council, Men and brethren, I am a Pharisee, the son of a Pharisee: of the hope and resurrection of the dead I am called in question.
