10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then the heavens will pass away with a roar, and the heavenly bodies[1] will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.[2] (Isa 24:19; Isa 34:4; Mic 1:4; Na 1:5; Mt 24:35; Mt 24:43; Re 6:14; Re 20:11; Re 21:1)

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[1] 

New International Reader’s Version

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar. Fire will destroy everything in them. God will judge the earth and everything done in it. 

King James Version

10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
