2 And Elijah said to Elisha, “Please stay here, for the Lord has sent me as far as Bethel.” But Elisha said, “As the Lord lives, and as you yourself live, I will not leave you.” So they went down to Bethel. (Ru 1:15; Ru 3:13) 

New International Version

2 Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Stay here; the Lord has sent me to Bethel.’ But Elisha said, ‘As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.’ So they went down to Bethel. 

New International Reader’s Version

2 Elijah said to Elisha, ‘Stay here. The LORD has sent me to Bethel.’ But Elisha said, ‘I won’t leave you. And that’s just as sure as the LORD and you are alive.’ So they went down to Bethel.

2 And Elijah said unto Elisha, Tarry here, I pray thee; for the LORD hath sent me to Bethel. And Elisha said unto him, As the LORD liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. So they went down to Bethel.
