2 Corinthians 1:23

English Standard Version

23 But I call God to witness against me—it was to spare you that I refrained from coming again to Corinth. (Ro 1:9; 1Co 4:21; 2Co 2:1; 2Co 2:3; Ga 1:20) 

New International Version

23 I call God as my witness – and I stake my life on it – that it was in order to spare you that I did not return to Corinth. 

New International Reader’s Version

23 I call God to be my witness. May he take my life if I’m lying. I wanted to spare you, so I didn’t return to Corinth. 

King James Version

23 Moreover I call God for a record upon my soul, that to spare you I came not as yet unto Corinth.
