2 Corinthians 1:22

English Standard Version

22 and who has also put his seal on us and given us his Spirit in our hearts as a guarantee.[1] (Ro 8:16; 2Co 5:5; Eph 1:13; Eph 1:14; Eph 4:30) 

New International Version

22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. 

New International Reader’s Version

22 He put his Spirit in our hearts and marked us as his own. We can now be sure that he will give us everything he promised us. 

King James Version

22 Who hath also sealed us, and given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
