16 But they kept mocking the messengers of God, despising his words and scoffing at his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against his people, until there was no remedy. (Ezr 5:12; Pr 1:25; Pr 1:30; Jer 5:12) 

New International Version

16 But they mocked God’s messengers, despised his words and scoffed at his prophets until the wrath of the Lord was aroused against his people and there was no remedy. 

New International Reader’s Version

16 But God’s people made fun of his messengers. They hated his words. They laughed at his prophets. Finally the LORD’s great anger was stirred up against his people. Nothing could save them. 

King James Version

16 But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the LORD arose against his people, till there was no remedy.
