6 And he said to her, “Because I spoke to Naboth the Jezreelite and said to him, ‘Give me your vineyard for money, or else, if it please you, I will give you another vineyard for it.’ And he answered, ‘I will not give you my vineyard.’” 

New International Version

6 He answered her, ‘Because I said to Naboth the Jezreelite, “Sell me your vineyard; or if you prefer, I will give you another vineyard in its place.” But he said, “I will not give you my vineyard.” ’ 

New International Reader’s Version

6 He answered her, ‘Because I spoke to Naboth from Jezreel. I said, “Sell me your vineyard. Or, if you prefer, I’ll give you another vineyard in its place.” But he said, “I won’t sell you my vineyard.” ’ 

King James Version

6 And he said unto her, Because I spake unto Naboth the Jezreelite, and said unto him, Give me thy vineyard for money; or else, if it please thee, I will give thee another vineyard for it: and he answered, I will not give thee my vineyard.
